Morning All
Bright and sunny this morning and due to be a nice day. The WM has nearly finished so I'll peg that out before I go to work.
Make up lady was lovely but she coloured my eyebrows so I looked a bit odd! My eyebrows are very fair so I will pass on her using her crayon on them. Wasn't keen on the eyeliner either but apart from that it was fine. DD looked beautiful which is all that really matters.
I worked my lunch so I could leave early, the boss left at 2pm so I needn't have bothered! I have to leave early on Friday too for the dentist (at last, fingers crossed) so no lunches for the rest of the week either.
Hoping everyone is well and you all have a good day. Take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc
Looks like being a nice day, but much cooler now.
Hope you all have a good day. xx10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another pleasant day is promised - wow that's 3 days with no rain!
I have Ocado due shortly, just one sub. Different lettuce, I can live with that!
My Wednesday bus buddy is away on yet another holiday, this time with her 2 DDs to Turkey. So rather than be housebound I might go down for the bus to Ilkley for a change. It seems ages since I was there (other than their bus station for the bus to Otley) I'll have a browse in their better class, and pricier, charity shops! And window shop in the better class clothes shops!
My garden cutback yesterday didn't get beyond pruning the triffids taking over the front steps but there is always tomorrow to carry on!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or poorly loved ones. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning folks. After a mostly windy and wet Tuesday today may well be better. My cleaner is coming this morning and then I have a pool session. I've bought a rash top to hid my flabby arms. 😀
I hope that everyone enjoys the day. Happy Wednesday to all.11 -
Morning all
Its been raining all night but the sun is coming out now and meant to be a nice day before more rain and storms tomorrow 🙄 I am off to collect Rob this morning and take him to work we will do some shopping on the way home.
I heard yesterday that the rude one does have to give me notice the same as I have to give her so at least I get paid for September, I have invited her out next week as it’s another clients Birthday which she was looking forward to, so I will wait and see if she comes along, my guess would be no but the might surprise me !
Dinner tonight will be jacket potatoes with various fillings with some salad, DD has a day off today to she can put them in the oven later.
I have just accepted a quote for the carpet for the stairs and landing, they can fit it in 2-3 weeks, it will be lovely to have carpet back for the winter and much quieter too.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all. Bright and sunny here so far.
Plans changed slightly yesterday as I needed a new battery pack so took DGS on a bus trip to MK, which he loved. When we got back he helped me with some gardening(!) and then proceeded to pick all the plums he could reach from the tree, whether they were ripe or not!
Today is my session at the Community Larder, so will see what goodies come in this week. I'm roasting the other two pork steaks to have with salad this evening and then I have to go out about 7pm as Morris practice is resuming. We are booked at a weekend festival in Oxfordshire so need to run through things beforehand.
Happy Wednesday everyone.10 -
Morning all, heavy rain woke me at 6ish, seemed to ease just before I took Ly1a out at 7, started again soon after and she kept pulling me to go back home. Hates rain that oneDH has gone to work for a couple of hours then we're off to Manchester to meet friends for lunch, we're going on the train, so hope the rain holds off and doesn't ruin my hair! I'd better go and see what I can wear- when we first booked it a while back I was thinking summery clothes, now it's def a more autumnal feel here. Think I need to dig my boots out.Hoping we won't need much to eat when we get back later but we bought a cheese half wheel from the food festival with different kinds in so we can always snack on that if need be.Right better go and have my shower etc. Hope you all have a good day, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
We had an eventful evening. Esther fell off the bed and split open her forehead so Laura and I took her to A and E to see if it needed glueing. Cue a 3am return home sans glue. Hopefully it won't leave too much of a scar. We went to Cambridge where the paediatric a and E doesn't have a waiting room as such buts admits the patients to cubicles so Laura had a bed and I had a comfy seat.
Today I am off to London to see a podiatrist. I have a Morton's neuroma which has been getting worse for some time and really hampered our walking on holiday. It can be treated by freezing but isn't usually done on the NHS so I am going to this place where hopefully they can help.
TA, enjoy your day in Ilkley, have a custard slice in Betty's for me, I can't resist them.
Have a good day.8 -

Hello all, I'm a bit late but I do have an excuse honest, and it's a doozy !
I'm on the point of a breakdown with this morning, I finally saw a GP, lovely lady but she decided to go with the meds from the first lady, the one off with covid. My script however had somehow gone missing between the surgery and pharmacy so the GP gave me another, cue the pharmacy then not stocking one item as it has been discontinued and me trying a second just to double check 🙄 So back to the surgery for the receptionist to leave a note for the GP and that I needed to ring them tomorrow. Now I'm home I have just received a text saying that another script has been done so I have to go back to the surgery this afternoon, then back to the pharmacy. You couldn't make it up it's like a Brian Rix farce ! I don't know whether I'm coming or going, or in fact been and missed myself on the way back.
I did a clothes load in the wm first thing this morning but have only just hung it out, hopefully it will dry. After I collect my meds 🤞 we will go to the caravan to take some stuff over ready for the our holiday to Wiltshire starting Sunday, thankfully it's a lovely tranquil caravan site because I blooming well need a rest 😂
Snoozer hope Ester is ok and there's no scar.
Take care all, stay safe
