  • I think the order you pay depends on whether you want to pay the least amount of interest or reduce your monthly outgoings. Money assist will clear itself in 2-3 months freeing up a good bit of extra money that can be put to emergency costs or clearing debts. The next logical step interest wise is vanquis but also it's not costing you as much per month in minimums/outgoings as the lending works.
Have you had a look at what's the cost.com or an app called debt payoff planner. They will help you calculate different scenarios. Ideally you want to pay the least interest possible but occasionally people need a quick win for motivation or to get rid of the highest minimum to free up some flexibility each month. Good luck with it all

No I haven't heard of these kind of apps, that could be interesting to look into. Thank you.
  • I'd question whether that £150 food spend is accurate - if it is then you are doing very well indeed there, with the way prices have escalated over the past little while I'd struggle to get anywhere near that most months now.
We usually hit around £150 for the two of us. Anything extra needed at the end of the month my husband usually pays for but it's usually minimal. Say £10 extra.
