NHS Pension 2008 scheme part time query

Hello, I have a question regarding the NHS 2008 Pension Scheme.
I joined in Dec 2009 so have just under six years in the 2008 scheme before moving to the 2015 scheme in April 2015.  I was full time up until May 2018 but have now dropped to 22.5 hours a week.
As the 2008 scheme is final salary will my benefits be based on my part time salary? It’s likely I will stay part time till I retire.
Thank you

Pretty sure it's your full time equivalent that counts.

It's your accrued service which being part time impacts.

So actually you might only have say 3 years reckonable service in the 2008 scheme but the pension will be based on your FTE salary, not your part time salary.

Thanks so much for your reply.
I was actually working full time throughout the 2008 scheme period and only went part time in 2018, so would my reckonable service even be altered?

No, in that case you should get reckonable service on a full time basis for the 2008 scheme.

    Thank you for clarifying.
I was hoping this might be the case 🙂
