I saw this comment from @kingstreet after posting my post above earlier this evening:

So there may still be hope for a rates move in the next day or few.

A few brokers on our forum Cherry are speculating on today or tomorrow. The cynical ones are suggesting it's timed to coincide with 20 January which is the last date a rate switch for 1 February can be "undone."

    I was wondering that myself

I’m currently due to switch to a two year tracker, fortunately my remaining mortgage is small enough for any rate change not to be too much of a disaster for me
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Still nothing from Nationwide! Way behind many other large lenders, and the last swap date for this month is now in the rear view mirror.

A very cynical person might assume they are now leaving it until after the 25th (last date to book a rate before the end of this month) - or they just don't want to go any lower despite other firms' decisions. Getting quite disillusioned with them.

Like the poster above, I am lucky enough to have a sufficiently low balance for it not to make too much difference, but others won't be as lucky.

Still nothing as of this morning 23rd January. We would certainly have expected some changes by this stage of the month. The 'sister' firm, The Mortgage Works,  which handles the buy to let business issued new rates last Wednesday (17th).
