When will it all end?

Can anyone tell me when the CSA are likely to finally close the account for my friend.

His son started uni in September this year.

My friend was told it would take up to 18 weeks to decide if the case should close.

He phoned in November and was then told that the case was closed and that he would get a letter.

He waited 2 weeks and rang up again and was told that he would have to wait because the case was going through a closing down process?

He's totally confused and the CSA are still taking money out of his wages.

He has been told that he will get a refund but will that be from September when his son started uni or will it be from November when the case was closed?

Any help appreciated.

  • The whole mess of this thing called CSA started in Parliament and has to be sorted out there so I suggest a letter to the local MP outlining the case with all the problems associated with it and get him/her to sort it out!

It may help to speed things up but the CSA is a beast out of control with no common sense.

It should have been closed on the first Monday in September before he went to uni - the closure date will be backdated to then although I have no idea why it is taking so long; my case was closed immediately!

    Thanks kelloggs for the reply.

He doesn't know why either, perhaps there are a lot of cases that need to be closed at this time of year.

Who knows, I blame gremlins myself!
