Short gap between completion and remortgage

We are currently purchasing a property which is due to complete the last week of September and we are porting our existing Barclays mortgage. The fix on this ends 31st October so we need to remortgage quickly as soon as we complete on the purchase. We had hoped to tie it all in to one transaction but the chain was unwilling to wait until 1st November to move and now the process has taken longer than expected so we are stuck with a c. 1 month gap.
Question is, how difficult are we likely to find it looking for a lender who will lend on a property which has not been owned for longer than 3 or 6 months? The current best buys are looking like Natwest, Santander and Principality. Does anyone have knowledge of their lending criteria around ownership?
Easiest route would obviously be to stay with Barclays but their offers are not competitive and I'd prefer to do a 5 year fix so don't want to tie us to something more expensive than needed.
Thanks in advance!

It wont be for every lender.
But I would not worry about any particular lenders at the minute, products will probably change 10 times over by the time you complete.
The other issue(s) you will have to contend with are:
1) Lack of ID - they wont be able to verify you at the new address so ensure your passports are in date and you update addresses on everything straight away.
2) Your lack of history at that address could make it difficult to pass a credit check.
Combined with owning the property for less than 6 months, you might not have the pick of lenders available to you.

Thanks ACG, that is helpful.
It also adds another complication into the mix, to be honest. Our passports need renewing soon anyway but I was going to take this renewal as the opportunity to change into my married name. I also don't have a driving licence as the I had to surrender for medical reasons.
Would us using the same solicitor that we have used for the purchase make any difference since she has done all the ID checks etc on us already?
It may be that we need to stick with the Barclays remortgage rate, is it less complex to remortgage with the same lender and just switch product within such a time frame as they already have all the checks done?0
