Rail ticket confusion

Season Ticket Search Results | South Western Railway

     £30.50 7 day (Weekly)

    £117.20 Monthly

    £1220 Yearly

    £48.80 Flexi Season

Looking at the monthly ticket (I assume the month starts from 1st use as opposed to the beginning of the month) as the preferred option to purchase, simply because the course ends in early July & there are breaks within the term times for various holidays (e.g. Easter).

Also there doesn’t appear to be an option to buy / use a railcard for reduced rates.

He will be in college Monday through Thursday (9am to approx. 1pm) each day according to his timetable and they do offer a bursary towards travel costs (we have the timetable for trains both there and returning) within a few hours either side of the advised times

I assume its just as simple as going onto the SWR website and purchasing the monthly pass?

Can people take a look and advise if I have missed anything glaring?

    TIA

It's worth knowing that ticket offices can sell season tickets for 'odd' periods between one month and one year, at the same pro rata price as the monthly ticket.

Might be worth exploring this option to fit with term dates, holidays etc.

I make a daily return around those times £6.40. So for four days a week £25.60. FTN to FRM, is that right? This looks probably your cheapest bet.

I wasn't able to find any railcard discounts.
