Possible errors I’m making

I haven’t had any wins for a good while. When entering the magazine puzzle comps (take a break, that’s life etc) I notice that the answers are always posted here in capitals. Does it make a difference if I submit the answers in capitals or not?

Also, I have a separate email address for comping, could having any indication that I am a comper in the email address be detrimental to my chances of winning?

Capitals make the post easier to read, should make no difference to the entry. Although unlikely to make a difference to a proper competition why would you have anything in an e-mail address related to comping?

If the competitions are run properly, then whether the entries are in capitals or not, and whether your email has something related to comping in it, should make no difference to who is selected as winner. However, being somewhat cynical, I personally would not indicate in my email that I regularly enter competitions, just in case.
Winning is so subject to luck that you can go for a long time without a win. Don't know how long 'a good while' is, but during the 2000's I did not win a single item for 3 years, despite entering hundreds of comps per month. Not even a plastic apron or a discount voucher. I would have given up but then won a holiday and a cellar-full of wine. Keep going, it will happen eventually!
