Good morning folks and thanks SR. The sun has his hat on here, but for how long! Yesterday would have been lovely if not for that dratted wind that seems to be here to stay.
I am currently skulking in the bathroom with a colour on my hair. The white roots seem to appear almost overnight. I'm using a different one this time and hoping I don't regret it although it shouldn't be too drastic a colour change - I hope!!
I tripped off to the next town yesterday for their Home Bargains and took Dolly with me. I was glad I did as I ended up with quite a few heavy tins and packets and struggled to lift it on the bus back! They still had the Gino organic tomatoes that have been mentioned a bit on Old Style recently so I got 6 more packs of those while they had them.. They make a lovely soup.
Right time to rinse off my colour and see what damage has been done!! Take care all and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care and be safe xx

Hope you all have a great day Bella.
It's sunny here as well - yesterday was hot!
DH is not well at all, he's got a really bad cough and cold, and spent most of yesterday asleep.
He picked up a little bit last night, but I don't suppose he'll be doing much today. He's still asleep at the moment. Tbh, I wondered if he has Covid, but we have no tests left. We'll soon find out if I develop symptoms.
I had a quiet day, just did a bit of shopping.
I think I'll try and tidy the garden to day, everything is looking a bit battered from all the rain.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to poorly people and those with relative s who aren't well.
Take care folks.

Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off Scarlet. I hope that your DH is better today. The high and noisy winds lasted for most of the day until early evening. At one point I though that the large tree in my back garden would be brought down. Even the much smaller one looked in danger of cracking. Happily both survived. Slight rain was in the wind but not able to fall vertically. My day was spent catching up on recorded programmes and writing emails. The friend who I had lunch with last Monday is coming up here early next month, staying at a local hotel for two nights before going further up north for a few more days. We hope to do a short boat trip so she's organising it. My German friends have arrived home. I've been watching their progress on 'Find My' which has been fascinating though it wasn't too good whilst they crossed over to Hook of Holland. Finally there was prolonged conversations and texts with my Newcastle friends to arrange a couple of days near North Berwick to visit the Museum of Flight. Not down a mine but the brain got a small workout. My night was disrupted by a strange feeling in my gut. I wasn't sure if there was going to be trouble or not. In the end I was fine 😀 and had a good sleep.Today is lining up to be pretty good. No wind, no rain and already warm. I have no plans yet, something is bound to be thrown up. I'll keep one eye on the footie with the sound turned down.Bella - I now have the song 'we're all going to the zoo tomorrow' swarming around inside my head, I'm resisting the urge to sing it. 😂 I hope that you all enjoy the visit.Hugs to poorlies and loved ones who are poorly. Happy Sunday to all.13

Morning All
Go on Gers, sing it! The cows will appreciate a song.
Its dry out, the bedding is on the line and there's another load in. Yesterday started off really wet, I was soaked through at the allotment. The sun came out later but then there were showers so the washing stayed inside. Bathrooms have been cleaned and the ironing done.
Sorted the garden as the sunflowers had hit the deck with all the wind and rain, I've cut those that had flowered so will dry the heads off in the greenhouse. The allotment gave me 7 courgettes and lots of green beans, more to come.
Enjoy your visit to the zoo bella.
Have a good week away TA.
Hope your DH is feeling better today Scarlet.
I'm off for a swim now (pool) and then my lovely Mr Neighbour is going to put up the curtain pole that arrived a couple of days ago, the curtains have been hanging over the bannister since they were washed so shouldn't been to be ironed again.
Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX11 -

Morning everyone
Still bloomin windy here but not as wild as yesterday...it was annoying cos it was lovely and sunny but too windy to go outside. I had a nice afternoon cleaning pictures and hanging some back up - I've used those command strips on the smaller ones so I'm hoping they don't slide back off! I've never used them before. Also had a nice chat with eldest DD and went down to youngest for tea with her and little one.
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads to sit with dad while mam goes to church then little one is coming up the afternoon. She's so excited as they're going on holiday tomorrow - DD got a good deal on a caravan holiday near Ayr so they'll be away until Friday.
Bella - enjoy the zoo - I'm taking little one to Edinburgh Zoo the week after next - a treat before she goes to school. I haven't been since my girls were little.
better get moving. Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all, another bad night chez nous, just when I really needed to be alert today. The sun came out yesterday afternoon so I did a load in the wm and it all dried and was put away. I cleaned the upstairs right through after changing our bed while Mr Fix It dusted and hoovered downstairs. Think I'll hang on to him ! We both had a senior moment when I cleaned out the filter for my upstairs cleaner as I remembered I had a spare clean one under the stairs but it took 2 of us about 15mins of twisting and shoving it to realise it was the filter for an old cleaner we no longer have !! At least I wasn't the only one, it must be catching.
The DGC plus hamsters are due to fall through the door this morning and stay for a few days as DD and Sil depart for Amsterdam so I may be MIA for a few days as I may not have time to post. They're no bother except they're always hungry, DGS has already ordered his cooked breakfasts 🤣
Scarlet I hope DH gets well soon.
Take care all, don't do anything I wouldn't do 😉
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Morning allWell the wind has dropped quite a bit from yesterday so it should be a nice day in the garden. Will be dipping in and out of the Womens' World Cup final later. I remember when the men won it in '66 and I complained because my dinner was going to be half an hour late because of the extra time!! That was a time when as a 13 year old I didn't like football. I'm obsessed now!Meatballs and pasta for dinner ready for a new working week. My colleague was on leave last week and this week so hopefully it won't be as bad as last week with just me and a new boss to contend with!Hope all the poorlies feel better soo and everyone else has a good day xx11

Sunny here - went to Church - only thought about the football when it was injury time - I still at SA - someone looked on their phone - I don't take mine with me on a Sunday. If I am going to be on my own in the SA building ( with Mr F ) - I have my phone with me for emergencies + in case of getting locked in by an alarm failure.
Lovely smell coming from the kitchen - I am making a boiled fruit cake.
