the longer it takes, the longer your account is frozen for payment, so it gives you time to save up.
maybe you will get a discount in the end, I was shocked they offered me 25%, usually it's 5% max as PRA are difficult to deal with.

With PRA back in 2017 i requested the CCA, after a few months they sent me a load of bumph and statements. I dont know whether they conformed  were legitimate or not but i wrote back saying they were incomplete and they havnt  provided what was asked for. They then wrote back and said they were waiting for the documents ( a standard letter i guess) Long story short, nothing arrived, i didnt answer any of their calls/ texts/ emails and 6 years later it became statute barred. I wrote to them telling them this and they acknowledged it and i havnt heard from them since, saving me nearly 6000.  I suggest calling their bluff as i believe they dont always know what they are doing and concentrate on the easy targets. good luck.

I received an acknowledgement of my CCA request in January but nothing since…will see what happens…
