Can I get a mortgage while separating?

Hello,
So my wife and I have agreed to separate, it’s all really amicable, and she’ll keep the house, there’s no mortgage on it. Plus, there’s no children involved.
My question is will I be able to get a mortgage while we’re separating, I’ve got a large cash deposit and I’m in full time employment. If I wasn’t in a relationship I wouldn’t have a problem getting a mortgage. I just would like to know as I quite like to buy a new place and move out while we’re separating.

Your martial status won't have a bearing on your mortgage application. It will be based on affordability and risk.
Married, divorced and single people have all had mortgages in the past and will likely continue to do so.

When I and the Mrs decided to split I had no difficulty getting a mortgage to buy my own place and only moved out of the marital home once the purchase went through. At the same time the Mrs had arranged a remortgage to buy out my share of the marital home which also went through on the same day. Both the lenders had no issue with our (soon to change) marital status.and presumably made their decision on whether the figures stacked up and our financial history.1

They only thing is you might have to pay the additional stamp duty until you are off the title deeds, but then you should be able to claim it back0

BIG picture here
Divorce should take into account all the " money " in the marriage
Pensions, savings, property, investments, cars, coins and the Barbie doll collection !
Everything !
Can your wife afford to run the family home on her income ?
Good luck and try to keep things friendly0
