I loaded up Mistplay and spent a lot of yesterday playing games and following the tips. Only play a game to level 20.
Finally got to 2000 points plus. Applied for an Amazon £5 card.
Had to take a pic to prove I wasn't a robot. Took several goes. 
Then I was told I had had a Mistplay account before and therefore did not qualify. 
I have told them I am going to post on here. I do not think I will get anything.

I assume you're talking about some kind of welcome bonus. 
Did you check the T&Cs to see if having an account previously would preclude you?
Ironically I had never heard of Mistplay but I have now.
