Costa Coffee Rewards

Am I the only person who thinks that Costa Coffee rewards scheme is ageist. My 90 year old mother in law visits approx. three times a week. It is part of her social life where she meets her friends. Sometimes she buys two coffees per visit, but she is not eligible for any rewards points. Why? Because she does not use an app. This will affect many older folk. I have tried emailing Costa but no reply. Thoughts please.

No it isnt ageist in the slightest.
I have just been in Sainsburys and bought some cookies. They would have cost 40p more if I didnt have a Nectaer card. Is this discriminatory? No, because you can get a Nectar card.
This is no different.1 -

It isn't.
If thats the angle the OP is going down, he will get absolutely nowhere.2 -
From the website (cant post links yet), but its on their FAQ page.....
Can I keep using my card in conjunction with the app?
Absolutely! Beans can be collected with both the card and the app and will count towards your balance.
The simple solution is to use the physical card. There is no issue here.2 -
I still have a physical card as the wi-fi connection doesn’t always work in our local Tesco. Rewards (beans) accumulate either way.0

Do any of the OP MIL friends have the app. You can share it & they can use the free drinks for a round between themselves.Life in the slow lane2 -
