Hello all, it's raining again and has been all night and at 4.30am I had to shut the bedroom window as the rain was lashing against it. Think we've gone from spring to autumn in one leap so I hope it perks up a bit as we're away again in September.
I made a chocolate cake yesterday and filled the oven with a hm steak pie, corned beef pasty and 2 large sausage rolls, all of which I found lurking uncooked in the freezer. DGD will arrive later so I have to make up the beds in the spare bedroom today.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones.

Morning all. Weather dull and dismal, but I have things ot be getting on with. I picked up some apples yesterday from a friend so I said I'd make him a crumble so out to pick more balckberries today. I know there are some there because I saw my neighbour with some on Saturday. I have washing to do today so I'm hoping it will dry in time to take with me tomorrow [ visiting sister in Wales] because I love these dungaress, I wear them almost constantly. They're so comfy. I have gardening plans next week, I've thought of a use for all the stones I have lying around,I'v wanted a plant stand for ages but not prepared ot pay silly money for a metal one so I'll just make steps out of the stones and put them on there instead. It will also help hold up the rickety fencedp1, seems to be a normal tactic for them, refuse in the hope that most people won't make the effort to appeal. I hope you do. Izzy, glad you had a weekend off for a change! TA, poor sparkle, hope she can be managed with not much fuss. nanny, put my name down for a piece of steak pie! Gers, good to see you carrying on the good fight with water excercising. Happy lunch out. Back to work camelot? NRA, good luck! I thought they al started back in September? Take care all, hope the holidaying are having fun and the poorly get wellerer...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...12

Morning all, absolutely throwing it down here & has been most of the night too. Feel sorry for the children still off school here. DGS is meant to be going camping for a couple of days tomorrow :oDS2 brought both DGC yesterday afternoon, and DGD wanted to pick blackberries from across the road so I provided bowls and took them. Lots are still unripe yet but not a bad haul.Still a few issues with pooch, 2 sleepless nights so I don't think it's anything she's eaten. Rung the vets and she is leaving some meds,& see how we get on, then blood tests. She's fast asleep now, I could do with joining her.Had beef stroganoff for tea last night, will probably do salmon tonight. I also need to do my O order TA, I have a midweek smart pass. I like being able to get marks stuff now we haven't got one in town.Hope the new school term goes well for you CamelotFingers crossed/ best wishes for the move NRA.Think I'll have a quiet day today, reading & crochet sounds good.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Afternoon everyone
We had a weather warning for rain but luckily it seems to be wrong as it's quite nice - I might sit outside with yesterday's Sunday Times for a bit.
Painter is busy in the living room now - it's looking really nice.
Taff - I've just spoken to a lady at Citizens Advice - she advised me to appeal so I have. There were no appointments available for this week but they'll ring back to make one and they'll help me more then.
Little one stayed on Saturday night - her blood sugar alarm went off at 2am then 5am - she woke up and said 'oh look, it's lovely and sunny!'. She did doze for a little while but must of then went into her bedroom - she poked me about 6.30 - to show me she'd been playing with her doctors set and had wrapped herself in bandages like a mummy! So I was a bit sleepy yesterday - we went down to mam and dads and to the park later, then I took her back home and we had a Chinese - very nice it was too.
Hope everyone has a good day today x11 -
Stayed dry here today and I haven't been out. Mr F is off to men's group at SA soon so I will have dinner on my own.Decluttering Target 2023: Monthly Challenge Day 27 - 13/381 10364/2023 NSD 218/365 2023 Craft Makes - 245 Craft Spends £555.74/£400 Books read - 2023 - 37 GC - £100/£100 August GC September - £60.74/£100 GC October - £93.69/£100 GC November - £61.29/£100 December - £6.60/£1005
