Coffee made and drunk and I'm back in bed. The morning is terrible, thick white cloud and pouring rain and probably set for the day.Yesterday was my youngest nephew's birthday so we had a lovely phone chat. He was with a whole bunch of people so it was rather noisy. He share a birthday with his father, my late brother so it's always a time of very mixed emotions.I've got a pool session at 9.00am and no plans for afterwards. I hope that everyone is doing well.Happy Saturday to all.12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's fine here, with a cool breeze, quite a nice morning. Yesterday was warm.
There's not a lot happening here, we are just plodding along.
The only excitement (not!) today is the boiler and fire being serviced.
Hope everyone has a good day though, thoughts to anyone who is not well
Take care folks.13 -
Morning allNot much going on here either, just housework stuff. Will strip the bed, hang washing out and bake a cake, lemon sponge I think. Might get out into the garden later to do a bit of dead heading, although it's been quite windy lately so most of the petals on the roses have disappeared!Hope everyone has a good day and ((hugs)) to anyone who needs one x13

Morning all,
Many thanks everyone for your kind words the last few days, it has helped greatly. TA, it must have been a difficult time when your mum was ill, both dad and my mil have parkinsons.
Thinking of all who have worries and concerns.
At the moment it is dry outside, although rain is due in later after lunch. I do have some blankets to wash, but I will leave those until next week as they are forecasting warmth and sunny days from Wednesday, let’s hope.
Plans for today are to work on tomorrow’s online grocery shop for us and the parents. I also am working on a crochet throw for my sister, I need to do 5 squares a day, so it is doable. I also have a M&S order arriving, pants and pyjamas for dad, I was amazed at how expensive everything seems … I am still thinking of 1990’s prices. I am getting parent’s hospital bags set up ready to go for just in case.I’ve noticed that the bananas have turned, so I will do something with them, not sure what yet.
SR, you have reminded me that I need to schedule our boiler service as it is difficult to get an appointment. I will email the plumber later.
I hope you all have a good Saturday.

Morning All
Very wet this morning, shame as there's the world cycling championships passing through - hope they have wellies on!
Missed you yesterday, I had a bit of an emergency - put a wash in the WM and as fast as the water was going in it was pouring out of the bottom. There was quite a flood in the laundry so I grabbed every towel I could find to mop it up. Managed to get the machine to spin so there's obviously something gone wrong with the filling bit. I've ordered a new machine that will be delivered today (fingers crossed), I would be at least half the price of a new one to get someone in to have a look and get parts. I know there are two curtain weights in the machine somewhere as I forgot to take them off when I washed the curtains a few weeks ago.
Anyway, once I was all cleared up I went with a friend up to Glasgow for a mooch about - got a new wedding outfit that I wasn't expecting to get but I do love it. The ladies in John Lewis were so helpful and have a good eye for matching pieces, they even gave me a hat to try on that I quite liked but at £95 was a bit steep so will have a lookout for one somewhere else.
Lovely vietnamese lunch and home again on the train, friend's lovely OH took the old machine out for me and I had a much needed rest on the sofa!
Hope you all have better weather than here.
Great the painter is nearly finished Ruby.
Pleased to hear your foot is recovering Nanny.
Poor Sparkle TA, hope she likes the new food.
I've been food shopping this morning, out early so I can be in for the delivery, it was lovely and quiet.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone
It's raining here but hopefully the sun will pop out later. Yesterday was very warm but also very windy - too windy to sit outside.
This morning I need to do some cleaning and then I will have a lazy afternoon before little one arrives for tea and a sleepover.
I had a disappointing letter this morning - my Mandatory Consideration for PIP says I'm fit and healthy - I'll ring Citizens Advice on Monday to ask if it's worth appealing.. The man who helped me did say this is what would probably happen.
Hope everyone has a good day today x11 -
Morning all
Dry and bright here with a small chance of rain later, I hope it doesn’t rain as the grass is desperate for a cut it’s not been done since before we went away we almost need a combine harvester 😀
I got most of the study back together yesterday I just need a few bits hung on the wall which OH will do today, it’s so nice to have curtains back up, I can’t wait to get the ones up the stairs up, we have a window top and bottom and although we have those voile roller blinds up I always feel that people are looking in.
DD is off to Brighton for the day with a friend so we will have big pup with us, they will need a walk later. Dinner tonight is what we call cheesy nabs 😂 lots of nice cheese, cold meats, olives and picky bits with part baked rolls, we will share a bottle of wine too 😃
Have good days all and take care xx10
