Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Cloudy, but dry.
Dinner was veg rice and smoked sausage.
Now on days' off and go back to work on Monday. Concerned about what I'll be walking into as I I know there's a big conference on and it's supposed to be prepared for today and know the member of staff either won't do it or will go sick.
Chores to do today and food shopping first.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all,
NMLC, I hope you can manage to have nice days off from work, it is horrid when there is work stuff going on that troubles you at all times.
I have woken up and feel like I have been hit all over, so hobbled to the back pad.Plans for today are trying to resolve a new issue which came up yesterday with dad, trying to get my head around best way to manage. Also, need to chase pharmacy/doctor for parent’s meds.
Apart from this, I am going to have another mental health day by attempting to weed a corner of the garden before it runs away from me, and gently pottering around the home tidying up.
Take care all.

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I'm taking DDad to the urologist today for another procedure. Hoping to get some news. Stepmum has said we could have waited until he was back home - can't flaming win. Would rather get some tests done here to see what's going on. I know it's expensive, but what price health?
Not sure what's for dinner tonight - will shop this morning for something quick and easy, possibly breaded fish to have with some chips seeing as it's Friday!
Hugs to all those in need of one and have a good day all,

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Your work woes are neverending, it seems one thing after another. Hope your return on Monday isn't as bad as you fear.
Another gorgeous sunny day before the inevitable rain is forecast to return tomorrow for the w/e. Although yesterday was very hot the sun didn't really get out in force until late afternoon.
My poor Sparkle has been clobbered by another health worry for me.. The all too frequent steroid injections for her allergy have brought on diabetes (Vet says this often happens) Normally insulin injections are the next step but if she had those it would interfere with the steroid injection and they would have to stop (not an option) so I am changing her food to diabetic cat food and see how she goes. I just hope she will eat it as she is so fussy with food. Poor little cat. I didn't know what I was taking on when I adopted her from the rescue. But I love her to bits.
A more cheerful morning is in store. It's eldest DGD's 19th birthday and we are all off out for a buffet breakfast. Yum yum. I don't know where the last 19 years have gone. It's frightening how the time flies. More so as you get older.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and poorly loved ones. PEONY I have been in your shoes with my DM. Trying to fit her in with work and my family wore me out. She got really selfish as her illness progressed (Parkinsons and dementia) and thought she should take priority. It wasn's a good time. Take care all be safe xx Cross posting with COXY. I have my fingers crossed for your DDad. I hope today gives you some answers xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all well yesterday i was flat and totally out of energy and in bed by 8.30 again DGS had been here mon-wed Monday night he was up 3 times and tuesday twice its the lack of and broken sleep thats knocking me for 6 . I love having him but boy do i feel it after he has gone his daddy has 3 weeks off now so i won't be needed till September . yesterday i just pottered did some washing and dried it outside and popped to Costco for some bits that were on offer and bought a cooked chicken so that will do us for dinner tonight as well. Today i am not sure what i feel like doing i need to do the weekly shop but can't be bothered and we won't starve so maybe tomorrow for that i have stripped the bed and its whirring round as we speak so will be on the line later.
Marie Sorry to hear about DH I hope the new treatment helps
Coxy Hoping you get some answers today
TA Poor little Sparkle hoping the food works and no further intervention is needed
Peony Hugs to you x
Hoping everyone else is ok and enjoying the sun Have a good day one and all and as ever stay safe xSlava Ukraini11 -
Morning folks.TA - happy birthday to your DGD, it is very scary how fast time is flying past. I hope that you have a lovely day.Coxy - good luck to your DDad, it's always a worry when parents start to flag, some things can't wait.Peony - same for you and your DDad.I was so pleased to get the washing load out on the line and then dry yesterday. The morning was rather dull, windless and warm but the sun came out and brought a lively breeze with it so it all dried really quickly. I didn't spend long doing my shopping. Today is rather grey and rainy so I shan't be moving away from home. The farmer is moving herds of cows and sheep around (not together!) so I'll entertain myself by watching them. The cows move really slowly but go where they are needed whilst the sheep tend to want to scatter.Hugs to our poorlies and those looking after poorlies. Happy Friday to all.12

Morning OSers, thanks nmlc- hope work is better than you think.Peony hope you sort the parental issues, it can be so difficult I know.Coxy hope the test dor DDad is helpful.TA- DGD 19 wow! Hope you all have a good day. Sorry to hear Sparkle is now diabetic, poor little cat, hope she likes the food.DH has taken the car in yet again for some niggly problem. Seem to have spent loads recently on the car & vanHad a nice chat with my closest cousin yesterday, not spoken for a while, she has a new DGS expected next week ( will be induced if he hasn't arrived by then) so she will be on minding duties for her DGS when the birth takes place. Once things have settled a bit we'll arrange a get together with the other cousins, it's been a lot longer than normal.I got a bit of meat from the market yesterday when I got my veg, so we had an easy chops cooked in the air fryer tea. My trolley was full, luckily DH picked me up. He met with his pals last night and I chatted to next door over the fence as it was still so warm. She is letting me use her bin when they go away so it'll give me chance to get rid of more stuff in the loft- already bagged up.Taff, my DB had a lovely GSD a few years ago, he was long haired and very handsome.Tea tonight- probably sausage or burger from yesterdays shop, could even be cooked on the bbq if the weather holds.Have a good day if you can x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Its a bit overcast here but the sun is due out later, DD got back at 11 yesterday evening so is still in bed she was shattered poor thing, big pup was so pleased to see her.
The decorator has an appointment this morning and was going to take the day off, but he changed his mind and will be here around 11.30, he thinks he will be done by next Tuesday, he has done a brilliant job and is very quick, I will definitely use him again, he is also going to do a job for my mum when he is free she wants her bedroom decorating.
OH and I got the dresser and cupboards back in the study last night so my job today is so clean them all and then start to get the stuff back in, I will be so glad to get back to normal.
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and look in the freezer after this we have plenty in so won’t starve.
TA I am so sorry to hear that sparkle has diabetes our last dog had it in later years and we had to inject her, hopefully you can control hers with food xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning everyone
Sunny here this morning but very windy so there will be no sitting outside today. I'll go down to mam and dads this morning to do the banking and then I have no plans other than a lazy afternoon.
Bella - have a lazy day today. It's the getting up through the night with my little one that wears me out too - two nights in a row and I'm shattered.
Gers enjoy watching the cows and sheep.
Florenceem how is your husband now? I gave up reading the decluttering thread when I came back from holiday and was about 200 threads behind.
Coxy/Peony I hope your dads are both ok
TA I bet it seems like 5 minutes since she was a little girl
Hope I haven't missed everyone - have a good day all x11 -
Hello all, well we're back to rain again 🤨 I had a busy day in the garden yesterday as I mowed both lawns and all the edges were tidied. I planted a fuschia and weeded the border which seems to be getting wider as I put in more plants making and the lawn smaller, less to mow I suppose which is not a bad thing. I washed some bits and bobs plus my winter dressing gown, sadly I haven't changed into my summer one much this year, some mornings have been quite cold. I managed to get an hour reading in the garden but by then it had gone over cloudy, it was still warm though. I kept a beady eye on Mr Fix It too, but he hardly moved from his chair all day.
My plans for today were to sort out the spare bedroom as DGS was coming today for a sleepover, but he's poorly so he's booked in for next Wed night now. So today's my oyster, maybe I'll have a sort out of the freezers instead as I've had a visit from the messy elf too.
TA happy birthday to your DGD, hope you all have a lovely day. Sorry to read about Sparkle but I know she's in good hands with you.
Coxy hope today goes well for your Dad.
Peony hugs
taff my foot is healing nicely now thank you, I've left the dressings off at last !
Take care all, stay safe and well.
