HI
I have a debt collection letter apparantly for an unpaid electric bill. It is addressed to "the homeowner" obviously dont have my details on file. Can i ignore this? i mean if they dont have my name then they couldnt register a default or even court papers since they dont have my details?
is this correct or can they still enforce the alleged debt (its only about 300) but i guess since they dont know who i am i kind of want to play the game with them a bit (i hate them)
thanks !

Do you believe you owe this outstanding bill, or even part of it, or are you aware that the supplier believes you owe it, or are you saying it is definitely not your outstanding amount?0

Do you have an existing account with someone for supply of electricity?
If so, you can ignore this one. If not, you need to engage or they will install a prepayment meter or possibly disconnect

Reading the original post it looks like the OP is hoping they cam wriggle out of paying for a bill on the basis the letter is addressed to the homeowner not to them by name.0

Does the debt relate to your current address or an old one ?
Is it an existing supplier ?
