Apple iPhone 0% Finance

Evening,

I’m purchasing a new iPhone and considered paying 50% upfront and financing the rest with their 0% finance option through Barclays.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to pay 50% upfront? There’s not a lot of guidance on the Apple website.

Thanks

I am not 100% sure but ask in Apple shop and they will help.

You can though pay off the loan amount in part anytime you want, it will not reduce the payments just the term. So there is an option to finance in full and pay 50% once finance is in place.
I have done part payment and early settlement on a number of IPhones under then Barclays finance and works well.

Now would be a really bad time to buy one... new iPhones are announced early September (a months time) every year and the previous year's phones discount at the same time.

Its not possible to, at least via the website, but you could instantly repay 50% on the loan or on a more MSE basis put the 50% into a savings account and get interest on it

Or get a 0% credit card instead of using Barclays

I am always rejected when I apply for Barclays credit; it's a bit curious.
I've no issues with other providers, just Barclays.
On one day I walked out of the Apple Store across to an EE one and got the same iPhone and an iPad, plus bought a new BMW.
I would often go for the 3-months payment option with Amazon, but that's been rejected since they shifted to Barclays.
It's happened over multiple years and now I just don't bother if it's Barclays.

I couldn’t agree more, it’s a very bad time to buy what will be an old model a month before the new one comes out.
