'late' defects

On my private account though I had one of my large letters never track and buyer marked it as 'late' which is OK as they can do that if they want (but it is irritating as I always send quicker than my listing suggests) , but because I don't sell a lot on that private account shows now as around 0.4% of a defect which in itself is not an issue as I am still above standard. However, as I am doing so well on Vinted I have started listing a lot of allowable things on there, and even moving some of my private items from ebay onto Vinted which means overall my ebay sales on that account are really dropping. In turn that means that every time I get re assessed on ebay that 'late' increases percentage wise.
It is actually very clever the way that works if you think about it, to keep that defect at a sensible amount I am forced to keep listing more and more in an attempt to sell things to keep my ratio of arrived on time high. As large letters don't always track I am also looking to list parcel sized items - and this is all just a small private account which I just use to move on unwanted bits and bobs.

I had two folk buy things on Saturday, two yesterday. The two on Saturday show est delivery date of Wednesday sending RM Tracked 48, which is typically my normal go-to unless it's something needing Special Delivery due to value. Two items sold y'day are estimated Thursday so say ebay to the buyer. Yet I can only send the things bought Saturday afto/eve on Monday (today) as PO has closes at 1pm on Saturday (buyers bought after this time).
eBay also don't help matters as I'm Scotland, and today is a bank hol so my two locals POs are closed. I don't drive so unsure if local delivery office on other side of town is open. No RM deliveries either.
Basically, my rant is making it obvious no one who bought the 4 items at the weekend will receive their items until Thursday at the earliest, which is two late offences according to eBay and just hope the other two purchases from y'day arrive also on the Thursday. Grrrrr.0 -

This page
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/protection/seller-standards
only mentions below standard for failing to meet the transaction defect rate (2%) or the amount of cases closed without seller resolution (0.3%)
The late delivery graphics on the dashboard doesn't have a marker for below standard eitherIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
I don't know whether it's still the case, but wasn't there a minimum number of 10 defects before you would be classed as below standard?

I don't post through Ebay and don't generally upload tracking information unless asked - so I don't get any late defects provided i mark as dispatched before the date Ebay gives me to send it out.0

Although eBay call it despatch times, it’s actually based on delivery times and buyers can be fickle sometimes.
this is what eBay say about the late defects if you look at your seller dashboard
“ If you dispatch on time and upload a validated tracking number, or your buyers tell us their items were posted on time when they leave Feedback, you've got nothing to worry about.”I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No below standard measurement on the Late Delivery rate showing on my dashboard
I would say ask CS but I'm sure you know they aren't consistent at allIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
