Not sure if it's all shops but my local H&B has a lot of it's own Foodstuffs heavily reduced up to 90% off.

Apparently they are rebranding their food lines  - I did notice last week that some items I use regularly were marked down to half price on the Shelf end, but just thought they were end of line.

Went in  today and a lot more is reduced in the same way but much cheaper, all with good BBE dates - it's just their usual stock dates most Mar/Apr 24.

For example

Soya Mince 375g - 30p
Pumpkin Seeds 500g - 60p 
Crystallised Ginger 400g - 49p (*)
Sunflower Seeds 1KG - 60p
Organic Oats 1KG - 27p
Organic Sultanas 500g - 45p 

(*) I think but they gave me a £1 discount and they show that on their receipts as a few pence spread across all items.

I only bought what I'll use but with the £1 off and buy one half price honoured without asking my bill came to £2.91 for 12 items.

Yes, I was told the same when in the shop earlier this week. It's very complicated how they do the receipt, but you do get "buy 1, get 1 half price".
I got an email the next day stating "buy 1, get 1 free".
