Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Cloudy, dull, wet and dreary - laying water and it's just started raining again.
Dinner last night was mushroom pasta with chicken goujons.
Lots on the "to do" list for today so will crack on with it all.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC - I see you're still in July! It's dull and dreary as has become the norm, I wish summer would come back. There's not much goimg on here, and nothing planned for today. I bought some fabric weeks ago to make a top, I might start that.Hope everyone is ok, take care folks.12

Morning all.Shopping day today.I usually bake on Saturdays but we're going over to DS's house and DH is giving him a hand with moving furniture and painting their bedroom. So I'm going to make some Twinks (hobnobs) later to take over as they're DS's favourites.Myself and my colleague have a new boss starting in work on Monday so we hope he will fit in well after having a female bosses for 20 odd years!Keep safe everyone and have a good day x13

Morning all. I've parked my TARDIS in the back garden, it'll be safe there though I'm getting a headache from moving through time and space this week. 😂
The shepherd's warning came to nothing yesterday, no rain, great drying winds and a warm tinge in the air. My risky strategy of bunging on a white waah paid off, it all dried really well. My zoom meeting with a personal trainer was wonderful too, I now have a series of exercises to do which are designed to stop my body seizing up and getting creaky. Too much time was spent in not spotting that I put 1665 into a spreadsheet when it should have been 1655, my number blindness wasted a good hour of my day.As I was getting ready for bed last night I spotted four deer grazing in the big open field, what a delight to watch them moving across it before disappearing into the longer rashes. I think it was two adults with two calves. They weren't too happy being out in the open so eventually did a short fast gallop into the longer grasses. My fridge is almost empty so I need to do some restocking. That's my plan for today, it may expand or not, it's a lovely morning so I may get the grass cut.Jackie - I hope that you're home and resting and enjoying being free of Dora. Happy holidays to those heading off and Happy Friday to everyone.13 -
Morning folks. After quite a nice day yesterday, with the rain not arriving until evening, we are back to dismalness again this morning. DS, DP and her DD flew to Gran Canaria yesterday and I am awaiting photos of them in the sunshine to make me envious!
It's the usual exciting Friday with dusting and vaccing all around in store for me today. I might pop in town this afternoon as I need to get a couple of cards and the forecast for tomorrow is even worse! What a rubbish summer we are having.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better or MIA. (Btw my severed finger is now less painful. I am putting a new dressing on every day as the cut still looks a bit grim) Have a good day folks if you can and take care xx

Morning all
Gers your comments about the time travelling have made me laugh 😂 hopefully @nmlc will figure the real date out at some point !
The decorator went great guns yesterday he rubbed down all the walls and doorframes in the study and got one coat of paint on everything, it already looks so much brighter, today he is going to do the skirting and architrave and another coat on the walls, hopefully we can move the stuff back in at the weekend.
Im off to get my nails done this morning and will then take the dogs out for a walk, this afternoon I would like to have a nap as I did not sleep well, but that may be awkward with the painter here 😂 so I might clean out some kitchen drawers instead.
Fahitas for dinner tonight, I bought some garlic bulbs back from Greece and they are so much tastier than our garlic, I may try to plant some and see what happens.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning All
Just spent an unhappy half hour trying to log into a forgotten about bank account only to find I was using the details from an out of date card! Anyway, found the current card and all is well.
Sunny again this morning, yesterday was a lovely warm and sunny day - washing dried and put away including the swimming towels. The little one was kept busy with a swim and a trip to the park on her bike - had to bribe her with an ice cream so she would come home! She told me that her Mum and Dad said she could watch TV when she got to my house, when I said I would check that with Mum she said she was just kidding - what a chancer!
Dentist appointment was long and I have a bit of a swollen gum from the jags, the numbness lasted for ages so I had some lukewarm chicken soup for dinner and had an early night.
I'm off to Belfast this afternoon with DD and 8 others for her hen weekend, any sign of a sash or badge and I'm coming home, DD is the same so it should be a quiet affair with a trip to the Titanic Exhibition and some good food. There's an interactive Monet exhibition on too so hoping to catch that. Back on Sunday evening.
Hope you're recovering Jackie.
All the house upset will be worth it dp1.
Good luck with the new boss Chrisca.
Happy sewing Scarlet.
Right, off to the shower then a walk into the town to move credit union money. Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning all one bed changed will do DS one when he goes to work at 11. DH is working for home as he has a blood test and as per usual he is in a mood because he knows it probably won't go well he doesn't take care of his diabetes at all has huge amounts of carbs but apparently can't have bananas Grr sorry for the rant i just get fed up with his behaviour every 6 months when its blood test time .
Right in better news 2 loads washed and dried yesterday on the line dinner tonight is lamb chops sweet potato mash and veg with mint gravy . I am going to try to get to costco today but not sure if i will make it as the dog has the groomers at 12.45 and she is only there for an hour so i don't know if i can be bothered to traipse all the way over to Lakeside and back for a few bits after i have collected her its not urgent so no worries if i can't .
Right better get a shifty on have a good day one and all stay safe and i hope even if the suns not shinning it stays dry for you xx

Morning all. Kind of sunny, kind of not this morning, I have washing to do so I'll check later what the weather will be. Going to see if there are any blackberries to pick today, i have unearthed a bottle of spicy rum and to forestall it's use in coffee, I'll use it in the rumtopf instead. OH didn't know what one was so I explained to him and his eyes lit up. To be honest, I think his eyes would have lit up at anything with rum in it. Meal last night was lovely but she does tend to overload plates and since I've always been taught, clear the plate, I clear the plate. Cue rolling round on the sofa for a bit groaning with a full belly. Nice though. I think another attempt at reducing the sewing area is on the cards today, I have a lot of material that either should be used or given to someone who will use it. I bought patterns at the Knitting and Stitching show last year so it's about time I dusted them off and used them. Or at least earmarked what goes with what.Rosy, Bury market looks really cool, I can't remember the last time I went to a proper one, the ones here have shut down. Florence, i did laugh at buying a suitcase for the yearn
Scarlet, good luck sewing, sometimes it's a real chore to get things set up but once they are....Gers, you might want to share those excercises because I fear all of us are seizing up and getting creaky!
TA, glad your severed finger is less painful...Ruby, your decorator sounds great, hopefully he'll be done before long and you can have your house and nap back. camelot, hope your mouth heals soon, it's no fun..bella, sounds like a lovely supper. I think all OHs are annoying at some time or other, lucky yours is only twice a year
Look after yourselves all...

Morning everyone
Drizzly here but apparently it could stop this afternoon!
Redruby - your decorator seems to be faster than mine - he didn't turn up yesterday - fingers crossed he says he'll be here today.
DD and little one were out with friends yesterday so I went to our local cinema and watched Asteroid City - it was weird but very funny. Nice activity for a rainy afternoon.
This morning I'll go to M and S for a few bits and then to mam and dads to do their banking. DD is going away for a couple of days so little one will arrive before teatime until Sunday afternoon. Hopefully she'll be fine - her blood sugar has been dropping a lot at night this week and she's got to go into hospital overnight next week to be observed. She needs cornflour and milk put into her tube at 6pm, 8pm, 10pm and 12pm until she's seen - I may be a bit like a zombie over the weekend! DD did say she'd stay at home, but she's going to a festival and has been really looking forward to it - it's only at Newcastle so not too far away.
Glad to see you're home again Jackie
Right I'd better get moving. Hope everyone has a good day today x
