Just did a quick mental check the TV I've got in the living room is I reckon 25 years old and has moved with me to at least 1....2....3....4....5... houses and had a couple of spells in storage as well as being left for the tenants in a rental property for 12 months. Still going as strong as the day I bought it and better in picture quality than the newer smart TV I have upstairs which I pretty much never use nowadays.Okell said:Our TV dates back to about 2008. I'd love to get £175 for it...
Don't think I'd swap it for £175 but I imagine it's second hand value now would be pretty close to zero. Think I paid about a grand for it new but can't really say i've not had my money's worth out of it.0 -
Even with "normal" insurance you'd normally only get enough to buy something matching the spec of the old tv, not necessarily enough to buy something more normal or "nice" by today's standards.0
