Nope. I'm guessing they think I should just work harder or 'manage my time better'
The problem is EVERYTHING has to have a deadline, even if it's just a minor thing. We have a 2 and a half hour meeting on a Monday and now have a mid week meeting. we go through the whole team and people are given actions they have to put a deadline on so each week the work just builds up, most of it not really helping.
My previous role I was just allowed to get on with the job and manage what i was doing myself and I brought the company some really good results. So because I'm getting given more and more I can't see how I can manage it. Everything is a priority and I went through a few things with my boss saying well I need to focus on this, to which he said yes that's a priority, then I went through 4-5 other things, all a priority...

I guess their second solution is to work out of hours, there is a real culture for this in the business, people working over weekends etc but I'm not going there, if there is an emergency or a big project fine, but not just becasue my workload is too high.

There'd be far fewer people off with stress related issues if more people were able to take your sensible approach. Good for you - and hope you find a new job soon!
