NHS pension and 2 jobs

Hi. I’m currently working part time in the NHS and earn 25k per annum. Based on my part time salary I pay 6.8% contributions.
I will be starting an additional part time role that also offers the NHS pension and will earn another 25k.
My question is would I also pay 6.8% in my 2nd role or would my 2 roles be added together as if I am earning 50k in 1 job? Meaning I would then have to pay a higher contribution in both employments. I’ve tried to look but can’t find a definite answer.

Your 'employee contribution rate [in any part time NHS post] is based on whole time equivalent pensionable pay for that specific job; not their actual pensionable pay in that job'. This is direct from NHS employers website

Thanks for your reply. This has changed recently and the contributions are now based on your actual part time salary rather than the WTE as they used to be. Therefore, I’m unsure how this would work with 2 separate employers.saucer said:Your 'employee contribution rate [in any part time NHS post] is based on whole time equivalent pensionable pay for that specific job; not their actual pensionable pay in that job'. Are they for the same employer or two different NHS employers?Dinopaws said:

They are 2 different employers. One an acute NHS trust and one a GP surgery. Both offer NHS pensions and I am currently paying into the one at the acute NHS trust.Dazed_and_C0nfused said:

This is the one you need to be careful of - may not comply with full AfC T&Cs. ASK (presumably the PCN).Dinopaws said:

So much to read, so little time.1 -
Hi, Thanks for your reply. The PCN do match pay and annual leave etc but not the same sickness benefits as the acute trust. They do offer the NHS pension. Can I ask why you think the NHS pension may not comply with that normally provided by the acute trusts please?Rosa_Damascena said:

GP surgeries often don't offer the NHS Pension to their staff but provide a less generous oneDinopaws said:

@Dinopaws
Did you find out the answer to this? I have the same question - I am currently with one NHS employer but will be dropping some hours at my current employer and starting a new post with another NHS employer. Will my contribution rate with each employer be based on the total over both roles or is your threshold calculated separately for each job?0
