Make money playing games on your phone

  • £5 in an hour.. Really?!
    I've been playing different games on Mistplay for 4 days now at 4 - 5 hrs a day. I've accrued 1,200 points. I need 2,000 for £5.

  • Wow, thanks for sharing this.
  • I've been using Mistplay for a fair few months now. You get money faster when you start out but I still get a free £10 voucher every 6 weeks or so. My tips:

    - I just open it up whenever I'm watching TV and do an action in the game without really looking every 30 seconds or so, trying not to really enage with the games because they do weird things to your brain chemistry if you have even slightly addicitive tendencies.
    - I regard it as money earned "passively" while doing something else I actually enjoy (I.e. watching Star Trek). I'd probably knit or something if I wasn't doing this. I haven't calculated the cost of extra charging of my phone as a result, though...

    - I understand that some people have been banned for my kind of "passive" gaming approach but I've been OK so far.

    - The games are rated differently according to how many credits you get when you level up. IMO the "Hyper" ones (e.g. Slotomania) are worth getting to level 20, the Faster/Fastest ones to Level 15 because you get a bonus 150 units, and anything below that I just get to level 5 and delete.

    - you can increase your "status" from bronze to silver and therefore get slightly more units/££ if you make in-app purchases. I gamed the system a few months ago and used Google Play Points (which you can build up by getting for free every week, or if you were going to buy books/films from them anyway) to make the cheapest in-app purchase I could and get the bonuses - thus not spending any actual money.

I definitely steer clear of the apps that promise you £100s a month, but I might try some of the others listed in the guide and see how I fare!
  • Guide currently says Misplay gives you "Two units per day for maintaining a daily streak" - I've never had this or seen any one else online mention it - only the daily streak that gives bonus points every time you complete a streak (7, 14, 21 days etc.) and you need to keep playing everyday to get the higher bonuses.

Looks like only some members get daily units for the streak
    support.mistplay.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000675967-How-do-I-earn-units-

    "Daily Play

Tapping the flame icon in your top bar will bring up your Daily Play streak, which can help you earn weekly bonuses. To increase your play streak, all you have to do is play some games through Mistplay every day. For some users, once you play for seven days in a row, you’ll earn a unit bonus! For other users, you will see that you receive daily units instead."

I get this for some reason - 2 units every day that I play for 2 minutes. I have no idea why it works this way for me!
  • I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, but I downloaded MistPlay for the first time after reading about it here a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't playing a lot but here and there over a few days. Then the next time I login, a message appears saying that my account has been banned for violating their policies.

I have now contacted them a few times to find out how I allegedly did this but can only get a copy and paste answer with no explanation. I only have the app installed on 1 device (a phone). I am the only person who uses that phone. I do not have the technical know how to do any of the things mentioned that violate their terms.  Their customer service has been shocking! I'm guessing I should start looking at other apps along the same lines? 🤷‍♀️
  • I haven't downloaded Mistplay or Just Play yet, though I have used games on some of the survey apps such as Eureka Surveys, Curious Cat, QMee, Winwalk and several others - usually to break the monotony of surveys or if I am just short of cash out.  I tend to play them at night in bed as it helps me wind down.  Playing games on these apps is limiting really because you can only earn so much, so when I have earned my limit I uninstall the apps - which is why I think I may try Mistplay and Just Play.  I think the key is to play the games that appeal to you the most, some are a little addictive lol.

I have been playing Mistplay on and off for about 12 days now.
I reached AND GOT PAID a £5 AM&ZON voucher quite easily, within 2 days, just playing Solitaire, but I have not even come close yet to a 2nd payout in the following 10 days, although I have regularly swapped and mixed games. I get my 2 points ad a, but these are almost meaningless considering you need 900. Getting from level 14 to 15 PXP is taking forever.
I am going to try and complete the next £5 in the next month or so but then I will be deleting it as the adverts you get are SO BORING and REPETITIVE. I don't find gaming addictive tbh so it will be easy for me to give up and go back to my Kindle.

I tried this, figured I'm playing anyway so I'd earn some coffee money.

I signed up to Mistplay and played a game until I hit level 5 then moved onto a new game, to maximise the credits I got. I earned enough for a £10 Starbucks card in about 3 or 4 days, and placed my order.

The next morning I woke up to find my account had been blocked and I would not be getting my gift card.

I contacted the help desk to understand why I was blocked  and they were VERY unhelpful. They said I had violated their terms of use, but when I questioned how, they said they couldn't tell me due to security reasons but that my account was blocked and they would not reinstate it.

I reviewed the terms of use, and they say you'll be blocked if you have a rooted phone or software that shows you as active when you're idle, or if you have some autoclicking software. I have none of these things, so I'm am completely clueless as to why I was blocked.

All I know is I played games as normal and they screwed me. Personally, I would tell people not to bother with Mistplay, seems they don't want to pay out and make up reasons to block you.

Exactly the same story with me, and lots of similar reviews online.
  • I find it bizarre that MSE are promoting Mistplay. There are many other "get-paid-to" websites, and most of these work in the same way that Topcashback and Quidco do - they are paid by advertisers to get people to sign up to apps or play games, and they pass some of that money back to the customers. Some games make a lot of money, and have huge budgets to boost their player numbers (think app store rankings).

But Mistplay just pay people an absolute pittance.

I'd add BIGCASH to the list. My brother has been playing it for a while now, and he's managed to pocket a few pounds here and there.
