Bailiffs clamped my car today and I then received conflicting advice, please help

It's for a transport for london fine, which I think is congestion charge related?
Ooof. You don't mess with government-backed fines. You must have had prior warning...they do send letters

Does make it more difficult if there is a vehicle to clamp, but the OP should now have breathing space activated, which forbids further enforcement action for at least 60 days.
Hopefully they can get a strategy put in place during that time to deal with matters.
It will be interesting to see how things develop once the new ULEZ zones become live.
In the 1980`s we dealt with things like that by civil disobedience, I`m talking about the poll tax, brought in by the Tories, it was so unpopular that no one paid it, and there was rioting in the streets, almost brought down the Thatcher Government, I can see ULEZ going the same way, except I don`t thing folk are quite annoyed enough yet, once the fines start landing on the doormat, then we will see.
