have a very happy christmas from me too silverangel
:xmastree:
the thing I would like most for xmas is to open a letter from the hospital telling me that ds3 is ok, he already has ASD but he is undergoing tests for a genetic disorder which he's having as a result of ds2 being diagnosed with a different genetic disorder this year
ds2 is going to have an operation & is on tablets which will help improve his quality of life, the disorder that ds3 is being tested for could affect his life expectancy so I am praying that he is going to be ok. What I would like more than any presents is to know that he's going to be alright but it will probably be the end of Jan before we find out.
Hope you all have a good christmas, we are all really excited despite the above

silverangel35 and sweetpea03 - Hope you two get your 'heart's desires' this year.
I've been through the 'lone adult at christmas' thing - and it ain't a nice feeling - one day your children will be in a position to 'surprise you'.
I have a grandson with ASD - and that in itself is bad enough - thinking about you with the possible genetic problems.
God bless you both - especially in the next few days!:grouphug:(looks rude I know - but it IS meant to be a group hug!).

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ANGEL . XX
My wish is a simple one
Peace on this earth.
Im not a material person at all , they dont interest or matter to me . i have told my wife i dont want anything at all for Christmas ..id much rather see the look of joy on her face when she opens her presents along with my 2 year old son . This gives me the greatest pleasure ....
AND
Please may i have a second wish ...id like to see no one and i mean no one at all in this country of ours living rough on our streets ... this reallys a topic that so saddens me ...this country is a wash with money ..PLEASE PLEASE help these people by building shelters etc ...
Can i wish you all a lovely Christmas ...look after yourselves and your loved ones xxx0 -

I honestly can't think of anything I actually want for Christmas (or any other time) - the point is proven by the fact that an uncle gave hubby and I £100 each this year, and so far, with a little under £30 left, everything I've used it on has been for other people, lol.
(((Sweetpea))) - I can sympathise - my three all have HMS (hypermobility syndrome - genetic from their dad who is wheelchair-bound more and more as the years progress) with suspicions of AS spectrum disorders and dyspraxic tendencies in the elder two (youngest not yet old enough to even attract the attention of the specialists) - it's not life threatening as far as we know, but it can be painful and extremely life-affecting. It's awful having all these worries over what their futures will be like isn't it.
I hope you, and everyone else, gets their wishes this Christmas and always

A gift voucher for some plastic surgery! i am having two things done in Feb but there are two other procedures i would like....weight gain and loss. 4 pregnancies and births and breast feeding has not been kind to me.
That would be my totaly selfish wish
Putting my mum head back on, i wish there was a magic fix to make my daughters genetic disorder go away....just so she can be an average everyday child..so when she grows up she can have a totaly normal life...have her own family without it turning into one huge medical 'thing'.
as the other poster says, waking up in the morning and sitting back and watching your family open their gifts...seeing my husband turn into a big kid..seeing my 4 children blown away when they walk in the front room and see the tree...seeing the presents...seeing their happiness when they realise they are allowed to eat sweets at 8am in the morning!! That is the best present ever!
Now my realistic head on...
A gift i would be over the moon with.....perfume....GHDS....watch....some beautifull underwear (tastefull...flattering and in the right size!) jewellery...
Husbands bank card and a trip to the sales lol

I would like a weekend with my best mate, away at a nice spa, with no mobile to be contacted, OH at home doing all the childcare and housework, and escaping rom the world for 36/48 hours.£2 Savers club £0/£150
1p a day £/0 -
I'm absolutely lost on this one, as every year, at the top of my list is 'puppy' even though I know full well its not going to happen.
All change this year, as we have been blessed with being in the right place a the right time when an unwanted basset hound puppy came our way, and she's snoring contentedley at my feet as I type. I really don't want or need anything else!
