What should I do with my pensions??

You need to check. There might be an extra charge for a SIPP and/or they will charge for each withdrawal, or something like that.Brie said:@Marcon I've got a Barclays investment account that charges me .1% and I've not seen anything remotely close to that anywhere else. I'll need to double check that their SIPP charges a similar rate. And yes NEST was the only option with my current employer so I'm just in it to max on their contributions.

Thanks - that's some useful numbers !1 -
belatedly - I really do recommend a pensionwise chat. My chap had a war story of someone who didn't, took the whole pension at once and was hit with a huge tax bill. Only then did he contact pensionwise - too late.UFPLS is a little complex but has very much worked for me, now on the countdown to my state pension (if they don't change the rules) so maximising tax free allowances before that.1

I think so too. @Brie - see https://www.barclays.co.uk/smart-investor/accounts/sipp-pension/#:~:text=The monthly Customer Fee (0.2,buy or sell an investment and see the section headed 'Fees'.Albermarle said:

Thanks I will check but will need to go back through the paperwork I was given when I signed up to things. Currently nothing can be accessed on my account online (some odd IT error is showing) but I know I should be on discounted rates to the average customer.Marcon said:

none of which I'm aware. both straight DC which need to be put elsewhere to access. I've asked for new quotes for both so I can check on everything.wjr4 said:Do your existing pensions have any safeguarded benefits?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
