Pension pot, nose dive

My wife put 70K in a Standard Life pension scheme that is now worth £50K after 3 years. What should we do?

    Keep investing. If there are no regular payments being made it might be an idea to set some up.

    Within A SL pension there are lots of investment choices. It is this choice/investment(s) that matter, not the fact that it is an SL pension.
    What is the pension invested in ?
    I suspect a 'low risk' fund that have ironically gone down the most.

    Let us know the investments.  SL offer several whole of market pensions. So, that means around 30,000 investments possible.

    What is likely to have happened is that your investments went up in value until November 2021 and then started to fall to October 2022 and since then gone back up again but not yet recovered its original high point.

    If you were heavy in gilts or technology stocks then you would take a harder loss than most other areas.
