Hi all
I have a mortgage with Natwest and unfortunately due to the rising rates fallen back on payments and currently in arrears. I was assured by the bank that the government is to announce help for people struggling, which they did, however, since I am in arrears the option of a an only interest payment is not available to me! So it is a catch 22! Is this the case with all banks for people in my situation? Thanks

Give them a call and go through your situation with them, it’s in their interests to find a solution as well.0 -
OP, it would be a good idea for you to post on the debt free wannabe board, and get some advice from the experts over there.
In general terms, your mortgage is a priority debt and that means allowing some other types of debt you may have to fall into arrears if absolutely necessary.0
