Brighthouse (Caversham finance limited) went into administration in 2022, after the rent-to-own company collapsed, the administration was managed by Grant Thornton.

As part of this process, a number of client accounts were written off, resulting in them no longer having to be repaid.

However a credit management company, purchased over 100,000 Brighthouse loan accounts from Grant Thornton on 4 October 2022, impacting about 60,000 customers.

This company was called
Perch Capital, I am curious to know if anyone with one of these accounts, has been contacted by Perch Capital yet ? or any other DCA acting on their behalf chasing an old Brighthouse debt, please comment below.

Perch Capital bought my Likely Loan default. They are using ACI-UK to collect the debt. Maybe these loans will be collected by ACI as well ?

I wondered what happened to Likely Loans - back before I got a handle on my finances I took out two Likely Loans, both paid to term - both ridiculous APRs but then I was ridiculous with money at the time.

So I guess they are no-more?

They are still going but rebranded as Finio Loans.

Mainly interested in the Brighthouse loans book purchased by Perch Capital.

If you had a Brighthouse account specifically, has Perch Capital contacted you yet ?

  • We have a brighthouse account sold to aci via perch despite a affordability redress claim running without response pre administration.  ACI despite having evidence still trying to get us to pay even breaking gdpr storing new details without consent.
  • See I contacted ACI today to sort this out and they said my debt for £350 had been closed and not to worry - but I still have one showing on my credit file for £452 and in default. They have said they don’t know what that could be and it’s not with them, what do it do?
