British Gas Fit in Tariff - issues - advices

i seem to be in the middle of realising how bad customer service has got in the UK for all suppliers of everything......garages, boradband and now British Gas

i noticed i had not received an email this year re my FIT payment so supplied a reading and then after a month contacted them. i was told my account was frozen

apparently every 2 years someone needs to see my meter and i recall this happening in the past but not for a while. i has not received an email and i did check all junk folders

i have now followed their advice of take a picture and send it........still not heard anything

i am wondering if this is their ploy of trying to get out of future payments so any advice/thoughts please?

    BG haven’t emailed me for a reading since they changed the installation ID (i assume it was changed as they upgraded their system)

    im still sending in readings every 83ish days (calendar reminder)
