I have a bank account with Santander and as long as you don't have to speak to them they are fine. The moment that you speak to an "advisor " well it never ends well.

It's probably not wise to be able to just click a box to make such a potentially significant financial decision. Is it normal to be able to do so?

I don't imagine you could log on to any mortgage lender app and do that? Or maybe I'm wrong. Seems like a big decision to be just a click away!

I did it online with Santander, was actually pretty straightforward and better than I expected, and just been approved today. Maybe give it another go and you might get a better person next time? What stage did you get to?
