Amazon Forcing a police report - police won't do one or give details due to GDPR

Trouble here is proving a breech of contract, as CC will say it was delivered, same as Amazon.Life in the slow lane0

To be fair this is another example of the tech giant that is Amazon having poor process.OP orders some items. One of those items is no doubt expensive. Amazon says 'Ah yes you're ordering an expensive item - so when we deliver it we want you to provide a OTP to prove it's you'. Then the delivery driver turns up saying 'I need your OTP' while holding several unmarked regular boxes. As the customer you know you've ordered a few bits, so you're expecting a few boxes. You give the code. Get inside, and the box that should contain the item isn't there. With all the technology they have - the OTP screen should either say 'Here's your OTP - your delivery consists of 5 parcels' - or the parcel that needs the OTP should be highlighted as so, either with a big luminous label or some other distinction, so you KNOW for certain that you're at least being handed the right box.As a customer you're not going to stand on the doorstep with the driver (who won't want to wait anyway) while you unpack each of your boxes to make sure your OTP item has arrived.0

Looks like a simple case of Amazon not wanting to admit they have a serious theft problem at their warehouses.
