Tesco rippoff

I bought 2 items at Tesco on a 2 for £3.50 offer Each item full price was £2.60 resulting in a total of £5.20 and with discount -£3.50 a saving of £1.70. I had in my shopping a pack of sausage rolls reduced to £1.50 at the reduced area of the store. After paying for my purchases I found that tesco had ignored one item at £2.60 and used the sausage rolls as part of the deal, resulting in a total of only £4.20 and a saving after paying £3.50 of only £0.70. 1/ This is a rippoff/ 2/ It is against their own policy of not giving a double discount on any offer/ 3/ The sausage rolls being in a different area were not advertised as being in any promotion. I spoke to the manager and was told that this was due to a discount label not being applied properly over the original label. This was simply untrue as the receipt clearly shows the discount on the rolls in question. On this policy if I had bought 2 x sausage rolls at £1.50 = £3.00 and they applied the same rule I would have been charged £3.50 an increase of £0.50 over the displayed price.

Did you get the refund? If not go in with your receipt or contact HO customer services. I’ve contacted them in the past without any problem.
Not sure it’s a rip-off more a simple computer or ticketing error.2 -
If you are able to show the receipt to customer services, they will refund you for the difference. I doubt it’s done deliberately, just an error on that particular product combination.2
