Morning all

its quiet on here this morning hopefully you are all having a good lay in 😃 

I tried to get up a bit earlier this morning as I have to be awake at 1 in the morning 😳 ready for our taxi at 2, will try and have a bit of a nap early evening.

The event at the village green was cancelled last night it was so windy 🌬 it would have been dangerous, they are putting it on later in the summer again.

We have a few jobs to do today just last bits and bobs and we still have to give little dog a haircut.

Morning folks - thanks for starting us off Ruby. Holiday time is nearly there for you! 

Yesterday was mainly a day of rest and contemplation. Because I live so rural sorting out my car is going to be an unwelcome challenge. I'll start to deal with it next week. 

Today I'm still really tired so, bar working the remote control and hob, I'll be closing my eyes a lot. 🛌💤😴 

Scarlet - are you OK? You started us off and then didn't come back. I hope that all is fine.

Good morning all

Having tried to get my original Wicked Lady account running again I've given up and made (yet another!) new one.

So, the sun is shining here atm but rain is forecast for later. I'm playing for the Morris at a summer fete at Missenden Abbey later, just when the rain is due, so will be prepared to dash for cover. Maybe they'll have a nearby beer tent - not that I drink beer

Morning folks and thanks RUBY.  Have a wonderful holiday and my fingers are crossed it cools down for you, a little bit at least.  Well surprise surprise, not, it's raining again here but the rain is forecast to be light. The thunderstorms yesterday never arrived but we still had a couple of heavy showers in among the sunny spells. And of course the wind was still with us. It looks less blustery today.

Just a pottering day ahead at Casa Abuela and, for excitement, there is a little bit of ironing if I cba. And a couple of indoor plants need potting on into bigger pots. They look a bit root bound.

There was trouble at t'mill in my absence last week. The council have finally given the go ahead for 103 houses to be built in the next field along. It's been under argument for a couple of years. It won't affect me directly but the folks on the opposite side will loose their view of fields and farm land from their back windows and look out first on a building site and then a small estate. Access will be from the top road so residents on there are not happy either as their road will be a lot busier.

Morning All
Been reading along daily but not posting much.
Still waiting on the legals for our move and loads of decluttering going on.
The kitchen was one of our main areas last week so DNil is now getting a food processor, set of cutlery and two sets of table mats and matching coasters.
We have been cleaning cupboards whilst going along so it shouldn't be so a hard task when we move. Now just need to persuade DH to let go of some of his Belgium beer glasses !!
Think we may have overdone things as yesterday I felt quite unwell and ended up back in bed and slept till 2

Morning everyone
Very windy here...it's meant to calm down a bit around teatime so I'll hopefully get my washing out on the line then. 
I've been down to sit with dad this morning while mam was at church - wrote his email to DD in Germany and put some more Audible books on his tablet for him.
I've put half a gammon joint in the slow cooker with a can of coke to cook for tea. I was going to go down and help DD pull some more weeds out but it's far too wild for gardening so it will just be a nice lazy afternoon.
Ruby - enjoy your holiday and hope it cools down a bit for you.
TA - you reminded me that one of the photos eldest DD sent of the zoo was of monkeys holding towels over their heads to keep cool!
