Stocking for £5

My partner and I always give each other a stocking to open in bed before we come downstairs and open our main pressies. (Big Kids I Know!)
Anyway... we normally set a limit of £10 for the contents of the stocking but this year we have decided to halve this limit to £5 as we are struggling a little but don't want to give up on the tradition.
My question...does anyone have any ideas of what I can put in his stocking? Has anyone any seen any cheapy bits and bobs I can put in? Things that are jokey and fun preferably. (He really can be a big kid!)
I'm going to make him some vanilla fudge as he loves it but I already have all the ingredients in for that so its free so still have the full £5 left to spend.
We always go out on Xmas Eve and get the stocking presents as this is part of the tradition too.
Anyway, any ideas will be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone and sorry cos this seems a verrrrrrrrryyyyyyy long post for such a short question! lol! I do ramble on sometimes!

I got lots of things from Hawkins bazaar, there might be one near you, all mainly silly jokey and nothing particularly expensive. Did stocking for my mum this year too so there's a silly pen with hair, magnet building stuff, groan stick and a deformed ball that can't roll straight amongst other stuff.Mortgage OP 2026 £350/2000Mortgage OP 2025 £7700/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Skint Spice is right, Hawkins Bazaar is an excellent place for this sort of thing.
Failing that, Tesco sell tiny novelty pens with 4 colours for a few pence. You could try The Works, they sell lots of little books quite cheaply. I just picked up a Cat in the Hat annual for £2, but they sell other books for less. Is he a gardener? You could get him a packet of seeds or something else from B and Q. Then there are charity shops, you might be able to find the odd little toy in one of those.Saved over £20K in 20 years by brewing my own booze.

You could make promise cheques for free e.g I promise you a back massage etc etc

If you've any charity shops near you there's bound to be something you can find in there.............the odd teddy bear ? Kids toys ?
Me and my friends do a shoe box ful of stuff.........has to be from charity shops, no more than 10 items and pay no more than £2 maximum per item. Its one of those times I actually enjoy shopping........we start collecting through the year.
Another friend and her husband, just for a laugh, gave each other a pound each and they had to go off and buy as many items as they could .....the winner was the one with the most. No prize.........just sounds like good fun.
Silly things got bought like one brillo pad.receipts had to be given as proof of the cost........................lolMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Thanks everyone
I haven't got a hawkins unfortunately, I know they have loads of stuff, I ordered some bits online for some of my other family/friends but the silly buying on xmas eve tradition rules that one out-lol!
alimac23- I made him vouchers like that as part of his birthday present, Do you think I could do that again?
I'll have a look in tesco and the works though and in the charity shops (if they're open xmas eve!!!), thanks everyone!
More ideas very welcome!!!

Definitely do it again - maybe change the theme from last time eg. sexy ones, or chores ones like washing the car etc- jobs he normally does.
I'm trying to cut back too and although we didn't set a budget for our stockings I filled DH's with useful things rather than wasting it on stuff he doesn't need. I got stuff like razors, de - icer, hair gel etc along with some fun things like chocolate coins and furry handcuffs (:D
