HMRC Tax refund issue

I have been issued a £125 tax refund which I can claim online within 21 days of 5th July. As yet I've not claimed it and I'll wait until 21st July to check then if its still saying I can claim it.
I'm bankrupt but now very, very close to discharge, I'm now under the 21 day maximum notice period to tell official receiver of any change in income, etc, as is stated on my bankruptcy agreement form.
I am not paying into an IPA and one has never been set up (as yet).
Is there anything that may happen? Can the OP use this refund as income and try to set up an IPA? In all honesty I would very much appreciate this £125 as I'm in a bottleneck with my finances right now due to not working and relying on benefits.
I'd appreciate some advice on my next steps in this situation.

It will be claimed as an asset by the OR.
They may already know about it - may have instigated it.
But you should let them know anyway0 -
It's so funny (in an ironic sense) I've just literally checked my HMRC app this morning, moments after posting this thread, and my tax refund is now not showing as it was a few hours ago. I guess this means my tax refund has been 'claimed' by the OR. Hopefully nothing else happens at least. I'll be glad to be done with this year of misery.

Sounds like you're almost there.
Post on debt-free wannabe if you need help. There are some very good non-judgemental posters on there.2
