Travel Insurance - existing illness

I hope this is the correct board. I am taking 2 trips overseas this year and I booked my flights on AMEX as travel insurance is included when flights are booked using their card. When I checked through the policy AMEX do not cover existing health conditions. Is there any way I can take out a policy just for specific cover of existing conditions as I already have all the other cover I need with the AMEX policy. If anyone has a recommendation that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Not aware of anyone that only provides cover for pre-existing conditions and even if there were then it'd be such a niche product that its prices probably would be higher than buying a standalone full policy.1

As above , you need a standalone policy to cover you , with companies like staysure it's not as expensive as you would expectEx forum ambassador

Will Amex not add on the cover you want for an additional fee?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I usually just go with insurance that excludes existing conditions anyway. I don't think mine is likely to need me to e.g. be hospitalised or flown back to the UK, so covering accidents and airline/luggage issues is enough.
Might be worth considering if your condition is like that.1 -

I took out a multi-trip travel insurance using Quidco. Insurance cost was £42 with £8 back through Quidco so £34 for piece of mind. Thanks for the comments.1
