So called HelloFresh competition

I entered this via a Facebook advertisement. Received a phone call yesterday saying I had won. I had to go to the website with them on the phone for them to activate my 'prize'
Turns out I hadn't won a prize of free meals but a 20% off discount code 🙄 you can get bigger discounts off first orders. I put the phone down on him as he was so persistent that I buy now.

Yeah you get that a lot with companies unfortunately - a discount off a purchase is not a proper “prize”. They obviously have targets to meet and put it under the guise of a competition.Sorry you were disappointed.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £30,358.131

Sorry to hear that, @marcia_ - was the competition hosted by Hello Fresh (rather than a third party) and was it worded that you'd get a free box?1

Wouldn't touch a FB ad for anything - they don't appear to be vetted in anyway (all the ads "by" Martin Lewis for starters). Regardless most HelloFresh advertising directly by them is for promotions of discounts, free boxes etc1
