Aldi v Tesco

Options
Our little town only has an Aldi in it, where we usually shop. We tend to spend £100-£120, and then top up at least £40 elsewhere due to allergies and products they don’t stock. (I know that’s high, we are a family of 6).

I’m debating swapping to Tesco with a vague hope of doing a whole shop in one go, and we’d need to get it delivered. Presumably the mix of a clubcard and clubcard credit card is worth it? Is it then worth doing all our spending each month on it and repaying it?

Well they do a fair number of items on Aldi price match, if that is all you shop for then you are on a winner as you will also get the ever devaluing clubcard points.  A couple of weeks ago though I forgot something when shopping in Aldi so decided to buy when I was in Tesco.  I realised they were more expensive but didn't realise they were 30% smaller too.  Try going on Tescos website & check out the prices of the things you buy that is your best way to go.  Don't forget the delivrey charges though.  For deliveries now, not only have they reduced the clubcard value from 3 to 2 times but on delivery charges it is a straight swap.

I think Aldi wins on price for every day groceries hands down.  I do an online shop about every 6-7 weeks with whichever supermarket has the best availability to deliver and I bulk buy cereal, tins, teabags, coffee, crisps etc.
