Thanks to all who assisted me with this both my and my wife's contributions have been credited to our records. From what I see on other sites it's a long wait till pensions increase my monthly payment
Anyone had any recent experiences how long this takes and can you hurry them up anyway. Do they send out a letter first telling you how much will be paid and when.

Your payment to HMRC will be flagged to DWP as a post retirement payment and needing attention. The actual calculating of the new amount is a purely manual process, almost as basic as someone with a piece of paper and calculator. On the HMRC forum they are talking about some areas currently dealing with paper stuff from the end of last year so don't hold your breath ! It will be backdated to the date of receipt of payment.
