Hello Everyone - I'm looking for some advice please. When I get paid, after all of my outgoings, I have enough money to pay all my creditor minimums, leaving me with hardly any cash left over. I had been doing this for a long time, I am moving at a snails pace. Apart from being given a lot of money, can I do anything to help the process? I would love to be able to get a loan to consolidate, but my credit score is 6ft under, I have no chance.

Please please DO NOT attempt to consolidate - you can't borrow your way out of debt.

Your best starting point is to post your SOA in the Debt-free Wannabe and ask for help there. The regular posters will give you good advice & recommend what you should do.

I was in a similar situation to you, 18months ago - similar amounts of debt - I will be free of it all on next payday - it is doable.

Things that helped me were planning my meals, doing online surveys (prolific is my favourite), having no spend clothes months... and generally writing down everything I spent... ie, do I always need that £3 coffee.. on the days I stopped myself, i transferred the £3 to debt instead straight away. Every little counts.. some really love payment a day, even if it is only £1, its nice to see it going down.

    You will get there!

@bigbeff That's a great idea. I actually had said to myself a few times, If I put X amount towards the debt when I had the urge to gamble, it would probably all be gone! Thanks for the advice.
