    Really tragic but if you read up on lithium batteries they can be very dangerous and most users don’t have a clue about the dangers. I try not to charge phone or tablet batteries unattended overnight and use a timer to avoid them charging endlessly. I never charge drone batteries unattended as they are more power dense and prone to bloating spontaneously which can quickly lead to a fire which is very hard to extinguish as it would be self fuelling.
    8 x Jinko Tiger Neo 54c 415W, Huawei 3k L1 HV ph Hybrid inverter and 2 x 5kWh LUNA batteries on 15° roof facing SW on the southern edge of Bristol.

    On a related point, I once witnessed the failing circuit on a wired PC mouse melting & causing a small desk fire - if it had failed overnight it could have been pretty serious .... doubtlessly, there have been multiple occurrences of pretty serious mouse fires that we're not aware of, but then again it's probably not the 'current thing' that the media is on the lookout for.
