Claiming for Co-working/hot desk costs

Hello,
I have started a job which is working from home full time
However, I am now looking for some hot desk/co working space as I prefer to work in a hybrid manner amongst people
My contract says that my normal place of work is at (the office address) but we are asked to work from home.
I wouldn't want to go in anyway as it would just be me there
Is this position, where do I stand with regarding to claiming for any expenses for the cost of Co-working/Hot desking monthly costs?
Thanks
Andrew

Have a read here

You could ask your employer to cover the cost.

The overriding rule for claiming expenses if you're PAYE is are they "wholly, necessarily and exclusively for work purposes". I think your choice to work somewhere other than your home fails the "necessarily" test.2

I can't see an employer paying, but also cannot see an employer permitting it if you deal with any sort of sensitive information1

There are two separate issues.
1 - Can you claim these expenses from your employer?
2 - What is the tax position?
Only your employer can answer the first.
If your employer does reimburse you, sounds to me like it would be a taxible benefit, but you'd have to ask them (or check out sheramber's link).
If your employer doesn't reimburse you, can you reclaim tax relief from HMRC on what you have spent? If it would have been a taxible benefit anyway, then no, there's nothing to reclaim.0
