New limited company

Hi guys.

I would like to open new limited company.

I have already applied for mortgage as a self employed, it is approved and now waiting to exchange contracts and complete.

During this time I would like to open new LTD company to reserve company name.

Before I do it I would like to make sure it won't affect my purchase.

TIA

It shouldn't. But if your application is picked up for audit before completion, the bank might ask about it.

Opening a limited company on companies house takes very little time. Do you really need to reserve it now, couldn't you just wait until after completion?

The risk that it will affect your mortgage application is very low. But it is a risk.

  • Thank you.

Can't accept any risk so it looks like I will have to open company under someone else name and after completion transfer under my name.
