Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Raining and damp underfoot, some laying water but cooler.
Dinner last night was chicken wrapped in bacon, new potatoes, coleslaw, pork pie.
Not sure what we'll be eating tonight.
Slightly shorter day today although going in very early, time off after today well needed.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's cooler here as well, but bright. Yesterday was very warm and damp feeling, but we didn't have much rain despite the threatening looking skies.I visited my old friend yesterday and had a good chat. She unburdened herself about a family problem that's upsetting her, and felt better for it I think. She asked me to visit again next week. Before Covid I used to pop to see her most Mondays, but we never seemed to get back into the routine. She was clinically vulnerable so had to be very careful.I went to our local shops for a few things and that was my day. Exciting or what!I was looking through my fabric cupboard and debating about making some wide leg summer trousers, I've got some heavyweight viscose that would be ideal. I think I will, I'll measure the fabric today, to make sure there's enough. They'll do for when we go to Oz as well.Thoughts to those who aren't well, or have poorly relatives.Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.10

Morning everyone it’s lovely and bright but a bit cooler here this morning I’ve got a line of washing out it should be dry for lunchtime when I pop back dog has been walked I’m off to work soon hubby is getting a walk tonight if it stays dry he’s fed up of been in the house but it has to be nice all weekend I will get him out plenty then scarlet it’s nice that your friend had you to chat to my friend who has lost her husband suddenly is finding it hard to tell people she has the same hairdresser as me and when she went last month her hubby was well when she went this month he had died and she couldn’t find the words to tell her and she was worried about breaking down crying so she asked me to tell her and to say she didn’t want to talk about it I’ve told her she will be better talking about it and there’s no shame in tears but it’s early days and all I can do is be here for her . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning All
Bright sunshine earlier but it's clouding over quite quickly. After yesterday's gloom and rain it turned into a lovely afternoon and the washing was dried in no time.
I've started painting the woodwork in the kitchen, all the oak woodwork has had a coat of primer ready for it's 2 coats of satinwood. The white primer has certainly brightened up the place so I think it's the right decision. I want to do all downstairs the same but am beginning to think it's a bigger job than I thought!
Did a bit of shopping with DD at the cheap shop - got some lovely yogurts just going out of date and a cauli for 10p, bread was free, will be visiting regularly whilst I'm off.
Glad the surgery went well topsy - 1mm a day is a lot!
Hope Mr Fixit sorted your DDad's issues Nanny.
Happy pond dipping taff.
Must visit the allotment this morning and gather more broad beans then it's back to painting.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks.Miserable morning and a fine afternoon yesterday, today I'm hopeful of a better whole day.The trip up to Oban was successful, I have high hopes of this new ear mould.I thoroughly enjoyed my 30 minute class and will be doing the same today, I'm really feeling the benefits. My physio was in the small group yesterday as she's had an op on one of her legs. So, it'll be rinse and repeat today. Mostly a NSD apart from the class fee. I'll prep my lunch before I go, I'll come back more than ready for it.Scarlet - you've prompted me to visit my lovely elderly housebound neighbour too. He won't be as chatty as yours as he's gone rather 'flat', still he was so good to me for a long time.Camelot - that's a huge job you've taken on!Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Thursday to all.10

Morning all
We had thunder and lightning in the night and quite a bit of rain, it seems to have stopped now and meant to brighten up later on, it will save me watering the garden tonight.
Off to collect my private client today and take him to work we are in the cafe today and will do some baking - at least it’s a bit cooler.
I went to the GP yesterday about a small spot of dry bright red skin on my face it’s been there about a year and keeps going dry and crusty, he has diagnosed it as Bowen disease which is pre cancerous and has referred me on to a dermatologist who he thinks will remove it somehow I am to be very careful in the sun so I bought a factor 50 face cream which I will put on every morning, hopefully we have caught it early enough as they are very slow growing I just need to wait for the appointment to come through now.
Going to go and rummage in the freezer now and look for something for dinner.
Topsy glad it all went well 1 mm a day is quite a lot 😳 hope he is ok xxx
Camelot that sounds like a huge job ! Don’t overdo it xxxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning All
Up earlier than normal as have a hair appointment for a colour this morning. Will take my library book with me as I haven't managed to start it yet.
Rained overnight here and feels fresher, still raining a little but should clear by lunchtime.
Need to find another removal firm to do a quote and delve into some of the kitchen cupboards for more of a sort out.
Topsy wishing DS well in his recovery
Gers well done on the classes
Ruby hope your appointment comes through quickly
Camelot slow and steady with the painting
Izzy glad DH is doing well
Sending hugs to all who want them

Morning all- thanks and enjoy your time off nmlc.Scarlet, I'm always rather envious of people who can wear wide leg pants but I think my legs are a bit too shortCamelot sounds like you've set yourself a big task for the holidays!Gers your exercise classes sound like they're doing you good.I've been trying myself with the swimming, walking and losing a bit of weight. Health's a lottery anyway but you can try and help yourself if you're able. What really decided me to try and get fitter if I could was watching 2 of our best friends decline in health after they retired early - done no exercise for years, increased drinking and smoking & can't be bothered going out at all apart from food shopping, so socially isolated really. Ooops sorry, that turned into a bit of a moan!Ocado delivery shortly so tea will be something from that, then I want to go into town & return my library books & go and see my veg man on the market. We went to Bury market yesterday but parked too far to carry loads, but DH got sorted with his books from the exchange stall, so that'll keep him quiet for a bit
We called at a garden centre on the way home and got a few plants, and had an early lunch, then I planted them up.
DS2 just rang from Turkey, they're all having a good time.Pleased for him as it's the 1st time he's taken them away abroad..... shopping now delivered so I'd better go and put it all away. Take care all x

Morning all. It's sunny now but rained in the night, I had my buckets ready under the overhang...Sort of did the pond thing but not happy with the 'cladding'
Did tire myself out moving stones and tiles to effect the aforementioned cladding, and a couple of tree trunks bits but it'll do for now until I hit on a good solution. But it's full of water and a few plants, the gardening group has come up trumps and I will be getting some lillies next week for it too. Today, a friend is coming round again, we're going to get tea bags, yes both of us have run out, so I need to shower, dress and breakfast pdq. No gardening today, it's time to focus on the house instead. I need to measure up for radiators and text the plumber.
Gers, it's good the teacher can see you doing your homeworkScarlet, exciting or not, your day was fab. Besides, if it's excitement you're after, you should never have one of mine
it's always the same old same old. Your trousers sound nice. Izzy, I did laugh still at taking him for a walk...Don't work too hard! camelot, one of the jobs I really dislike. Hope it goes smoothly and well for you. Ruby, hope they see to it asap. More stress is something you don't need. Topsy, glad it went well, hope you manage to find a holiday to suit too. nanny, hope mr fixit sorted out your dad...that is, fixed his door and fridge
Have fun all, enjoy the day, and take care...

Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I got up late and need to go to work soon - I'm going in early so I can come home in time for my phone appointment with Citizens Advice.
Yesterday was fine in the morning and I got my sheets dry but then rained on and off all afternoon - the sun came out at 8pm! Hopefully it will be batter today - I've got a lad of towels to dry.
Had a chat with little one before she went to bed - they had just been to see Abba and she'd been dancing. She was full of herself telling me about all the rides she'd been on at the funfair.
Right, I'd better move...hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
No post from me again yesterday as I was in the office of chaos! I was out after work too - took DDad to see Brokeback Mountain the musical, in Soho, in Pride month. Part of his education at the ripe old age of 83! Good show! Today I'm WFH which is fantastic as we didn't get home until midnight.
Good that they've caught the skin issue early @RedRuby1231
Well done on your weightloss @IzzyBee x
Nice to catch up with your neighbour @ScarletRibbons x
We are going to have our chimneys swept and pots checked @weenancyinAmerica as you're right, something could have dislodged.
In other news - DDad was woken up by the police entering next door with a battering ram - must've been loud as he doesn't sleep with his hearing aids in! Hope the guy is okay!!
HM meatballs for dinner tonight and we are off to see Indiana Jones - looking forward to that.
Have a good day all
