Lastminute.com- Double charge - It's happened again

I booked a 4 night stay in the Netherlands, flight & B&B accommodation and paid for the lot, I was aware I would have to pay some taxes etc. direct to the hotel so on arrival I set up a credit card account, this would also cover any purchases made at the Bar/Restaurant etc. Upon leaving the hotel I was presented an invoice which also listed the booked accomodation

Time was tight, so I could not argue the bill at the time. Upon return to the UK I checked my credit card statement and saw that the invoice amount had not been deducted, it has however been withdrawn.I have contacted the hotel concerned and LM.com via email, and I am awaiting replies.(2 days ago). I have also contacted my credit card company who advised me I had to await the replies from the above before they could intervene.This is a warning but I wonder if this has happened recently to others and if so what was the outcome and any advice would be appreciated.0

I had this before with BA Holidays (hotel in US). When checking in at the hotel I showed them the voucher I had printed to show the accommodation had been paid in advance but they still gave invoice for full amount when checking out. I, again showed them the voucher, they checked the system (again) and processed a refund there and then.
Did you have a voucher for the hotel? was there discussion when checking in?0 -
The key thing here seems to be not challenging the invoice at the hotel at the time.0
