Morning All
It's raining and set to be wet all day, never mind it's the last day! Finish at 1pm although the staff are going to waiting a little longer to see the P7s finally leave the building - there's a piper coming to see them off. One of our little darlings won't be there as he's excluded for the last day for telling the HT to go **** himself. All over a football.
Sorry you had such bad service whilst shopping Gers, hope you get a proper apology.
Bet your DGD will have a ball Nanny.
Hope your DS makes a speedy recovery now Topsy.
Right, off to the shower, have a good day, take care. XX9 -

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
Thanks for all your good wishes yesterday everyone, the Dr thought that the spot in my ear is a harmless cyst, and nothing need be done unless it stops me getting my hearing aid in.
Camelot, you'll be pleased that the end of term is nigh!
Gers, glad you got an apology from M&S.
I often play freezer Tetris as well Nanny.
Hope your son is as well as he can be Topsy.
I'm meeting an ex work colleague this morning for coffee, and we'll go to the quiz tonight.
Thoughts to the poorly and dad people, take care folks.10 -
Morning all. It's very cloudy and wet here though not cold.My washing dried really quickly on the airer. Despite the morning heavy rain it never came back after that. Later on the sun came out.I phoned the audiologist as I'd been promised my new hearing aid mould in four weeks, eight weeks ago. She had it there but are so busy, no appointments for a month at three hospital sites. Then she phoned back with a new cancellation on Wednesday morning. 😀Just when I'm winning the battle against flies a new scourge of moths are appearing. I've put down the traps so 🤞 The next plague will be midges!Scarlet - that's a relief for you. It's the unknown which is the biggest worry around health.Camelot - what happened to good behaviour? Anyway, enjoy your end of term. It's been a long time coming.Izzy - well done to hubby.I have no plans for today, it'll be a bit slobby.Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Tuesday to all.10

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Sorry for radio silence. Spent most of Sunday gardening/going to the tip. It's looking slightly better out there but still a WIP. I was in London yesterday - not as warm as I'd hoped and I only wore a dress - no cardi - I really missed my cardi!
WFH today. Dad is back with us for a week so will pop out with him at lunchtime for his paper, and get some steps in. Dinner tonight is a Tom Kerridge recipe which I adapt for SW.
Hope the surgery went okay for your DS @topsyturphy and that it results in success x
Enjoy the end of term celebration @camelot1001
Good that DH is getting up and about @IzzyBee
Reading back about your chimney sweep @IzzyBee reminded me that we had a crow stuck in our bedroom chimney from Weds-Sun! DH heard it on Weds after I'd left for work, but thought it had managed to escape - but no. Managed to release it on Sunday - poor thing. We have mesh over the chimney pot so lord know how it got in there!
Have a good day all

Morning all
Another bright and beautiful day 😃, three clients coming today and we are off to play crazy golf with another carer and her client should be a fun day with a group of us playing.
Yesterday after bowling we walked up to town and I nipped into M & S to get some new undies so I am all done for my holiday now just the packing to do but will leave that for a couple of weeks, my dd is an exceptional packer so she will get me organised 🙃
Dinner tonight is salmon with new potatoes for oh and some veg for me, dd is working a late shift today so she will get fed at work.
I need to run the hoover round this morning and there is a wash to hang out.
Topsy nice to see you posting, your poor son has really gone through it bless him xx
Camelot enjoy your last day xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all & thanks nmlc,Raining here & we'll see what the weather is like then, sods law when dh is having a bit of time off after it's been so glorious, so he's gone to 'do a few bits' & will be back later.Camelot, happy last day, then enjoy your break!Topsy, hope your DS op helps with his recovery.Enjoy your day RRCoxy, poor crowSpeaking of birds, DS2 has had a wood pigeon fashion herself a nest on an old satellite dish at the back of the house. The DGC found a chick had fallen out into a bucket underneath that had rainwater in and died, but the mum pigeon is still sat on the nest :'(and it's nearly 2 weeks since so not sure whats happening there.Yes taff, the steak was very nice, and even better for being free
I think DS2 must have forgotten he was going away when he did his last shop! I brought loads of fruit home too. I suppose I'd better get a few things in for him before they get back on Sunday night!
Enjoy your coffee Scarlet, and good to hear you'll have your new hearing aid tomorrow Gers.Well I'll go and do a bit of tidying before DH gets back and messes it all up again - take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
It's forecast to rain all day here but it's dry just now - I hope it keeps away till I get to work as I'm using my bike this week, with DD and little one being on holiday. I don't mind if I get wet coming back home - well other than looking a bit daft!
Had a phone call from little one after I got home from work - they had just got into their room at Butlins - she was bouncing around naked - as you do!
Camelot it sounds like you're ready for the end of term! It's terrible that children use language like that at school - it spoils things for the well behaved children. We've still got a few weeks to go before we break up.
I've got to pop along to Farmfoods this morning and will also have a look in Homebase - I would like some sweet peas. I did a list for a Tesco delivery later in the week - my first draught was over £70 so there will be quite a lot taken off the order....I try to get it as close to £50 as I can.
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning..A bit dull and grey this monring, not complaining though, it's cooler and I like it. My perennial kale came through the post this miorning so hopefully that will grow from the dwt that it is into something big and strong before long. Not a lot was achieved yesterday, I was on new tablets but one of the side effects is coughing, which hasn't stopped for days, so I've had enough now and stopped them. Constant tickling throat, watering eyes and coughing nothing up was a bit too much for me. I really don't know where I put my motivation, I'm not doing hardly any of the stuff I can normally breeze through, I think I need a rest switch, or an Brain IT guy to switch me on and off again...There's some washing, visit a friend, nd largely ignore the state of the house going on todaycamelot, enjoy your last day, shame about the language, but then, they've heard it somewhere and not been taught boundaries so...let's hope they don't come up against someone with even less boundaries. Izzy, good to hear he's improving, even if he's doing too much occasionally. Good luck for tonight. Scarlet, good news then! Gers, good on you..And we went to see him recently, we enjoyed it, we didn't belly laugh, but we did chuckle a lot. Coxy, score one to you for saving the wildlife..Topsy, hope the op went well for him, and you must be exhausted by everything still too. Hope you get an opportunity to rest soon! nanny, I thought it was the law to have ice cream and stuff if the temperatures went over to no rain in Wales? Take care all, have a good one if you can...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...10

Morning all, it's cooler today and just started to rain. Thankfully it was cooler last night and I finally slept well then had a lie in this morning. Not planning on doing much today just a bit of tidying around then at 4pm Mr Fix It has his oncology injection. I hate waiting around for any later in the day appointments as they tend to get behind and it ends up more like 5pm, but they don't do them in the mornings apparently. I have promised Mr Fix It if he's a good boy we'll call in the chippy for our tea 😂
Camelot you will be glad to be rid of that child to secondary school. That's just awful language from an 11yr old.
Gers what next........... a plague of frogs 😱 Just when you think you're winning eh !
taff you need a reboot ! If only it were that easy it would be my turn next or perhaps I just need plugging in for a recharge. Sod's law it's raining just as we've got lots of ice cream/lollies in the freezer 🤣
Scarlet phew that must be a relief to know it's a harmless cyst. Fingers crossed it doesn't affect your hearing aid any time soon.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and the MIA's
nan xx
