Well I’ve started a part time position at 63 being a PA for a young disabled child. My previous employment was accounting so total change and I love it. Pay is way lower than I had but I’ve plenty with my private pension so went for something totally different.3

I would have thought it’s easier than ever with staff shortages everywhere.1

Back in 2016, after a couple of years of "retirement", I began paid employment again - at the age of 69. That was with a new employer.

I may well be unemployed shortly.
Am fairly lucky in that I have a (small) pension but won't get any benefits because of my income other than 96p JSA & help with council tax)
I would be looking for part time customer service/call centre/ hybrid roles. Happy to work any shifts.
I'm wondering what is everyone's experience looking for work at the ripe age of (nearly) 60?
I know it obvs depends on your previous experience , I'm talking generically
ThanksGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Best of luck to you, OP.I'm kind of in the same boat. Haven't worked for a long time and jobs are scarce where I am.0
